How lovely of a community manager for "the biggest Kickstarter fundraising success of all time" must you be to have typed out "Nothing I, nor anyone else in this company says can be taken as fact. If you want the truth, you must address yourself to Chris Roberts™." Pre-empting this in case I miss the next livestream, someone please ask "Why isn't Chris on here? I have questions that cannot be answered by anyone currently on the stream." followed by "If we can't trust Ben as fact-giver™ then why do you present yourself as such?" Assuming you aren't banned within 20 seconds 'cause of "trolling"

Solarin posted:Can you or the angry guy explain whiskey vs whisky? What gives it's a regional thing and there's no hard and fast rule. Often whiskEy is used for Irish and American, while whisky is other regions. However you'll find examples of either being used in many different countries. It's nothing official like Scotch (which has to be from Scotland, natch). Personally I prefer whisky because it's one less letter, saves keyboard wear and tear. Like putting water or ice in your whisky use whichever you prefer and tell anyone who argues to gently caress off.

The year is AD 2117. The last of the original Star Citizen backers has passed away. Sandi, looking younger than ever, has taken over CIG in memory of her beloved partner, Chris Roberts, who mysteriously vanished sometime in the summer of 2021. She assures the forums on this solemn day that, yes, this last brave member of the old guard will be immortalised ingame, their name forever emblazoned in the "Special thanks" section of the Star Citizen end credits, and their estate will be credited one (1) Retaliator (LTI not included) as a gesture of thanks. The game itself has just entered beta testing and, despite some minor setbacks, is on track to be completed in February 2118.

KM Scorchio posted:It's true, the majority of information on the Internet relating to Star Citizen is clearly fantastical nonsense made up by a bunch of pathological liars. That's true. Really, I wouldn't have even bothered with a refund if all those stories about treatment of staff (which are clearly real since The Escapist stood behind the story and CIG never did sue) didn't come to light. If you 100% expect a kickstarter game to be everything you dreamed of, you're a fool - it's about funding people you want to have the opportunity. Incompetent egomaniacs aren't those sort of people.
