I ended up giving up on my long war playthrough yesterday, I was regularly running into missions where there would be 4-5 pods with at least two of them being 4-6 muton elites at 30+ health and I just got bored with it. Also mecs are tremendously lovely in long war to the point of not being worth using.

The Reaper skill is going to be great with a Grenadier in the wings. Launch a grenade into a group of enemies, activate Reaper and slash/shoot everyone dead. Reapers gonna reap

So I remember before release people were saying you could build snipers to pretty much exclusively use their pistols and actually have it be useful. Is that still the case or was it just a dumb rumor?

Ugh, this mission is bullshit. Not because I can't handle the enemies, but because there is no way for me to get to the access point in time. 8 turns is way too little with how big the maps can get, especially when things spawn on the top floor of a building.

How did Armless Bradford become a thing? A bug in the character pool code that lets you remove a character's arms or something?

The only reason I'm not unlocking this with a VPN is so I don't stay up all night playing it and then fall asleep at my desk at work tomorrow. I should've had the foresight the dude I share an office with did when he put in a vacation day to stay home tomorrow and play XCOM all day. He's a wise man.
