those screen repairs are so cheap because they are using screens from stolen iphones that are stripped for parts because of activation lock. also when you look into this a bit more you find out that ios doesn't actually permanently brick the phone when it detects the mismatched numbers. it will just error until a legit part is put in and paired in the firmware, which you can get done at an apple store or a third party company as long as they are an apple authorized service provider.

yeah get the 15, I have one at work and it's great plugged into two cinema displays and still portable + light enough to pick up and toss in my bag if needed. much nicer than the heavy old disc drive 15 inch mbps

yeah the 15 is only really noticeably bigger than the 13 if you're having to carry it around all day every day, its still very slim and light really

the thing is im not sure if i even need the beefy machine anymore the occasional time I will work from home I will have it docked to something regardless of which one i get, and lets say that working from home it may aswell be a dumb terminal outside of work i use my phone, ill probably get a tablet after the march event, and the laptop will be for anything else that doesnt go well with that other stuff but do i need a quad core beast with dedicated gpu? idk, maybe not. my steam library gathers dust and i dont pc game i just dont know Valeyard fucked around with this message at 00:29 on Feb 8, 2016 |

If you're going to use it as an actual desktop replacement, then get a PC that's the same price and twice the power but doesn't look as sexy I guess? If you're going to replace a desktop you only ever browse the web with, then you could just buy a Chromebook for $199 and call it a day.

sager laptops seem to sit astride that "doesn't look like poo poo like asus" but "powerful desktop replacement" line, and you can customize them the rmbp 15s this year all have amd chips lomarf, and if you want to use windows on them the switchable graphics mode is and has always been poo poo in bootcamp the razer blade 2015 has a decent mobile graphics chip, nvidia gtx 970m
