I just saw that "First Person Shooter" has a commentary track on the dvds. Has anyone listened to it? Is it the equivalent of the Simpsons commentary track to the episode where the "real" Principal Skinner comes back (ie incredibly defensive and uncomfortable)?

its not even like they were good plots that were badly written they were just awful from the start. the only other truly stand out bad episode that comes to memory is the vampires one which i couldn't finish but i haven't seen all of season 8 or any of 9

8 and 9 do truly have some stinkers, but I don't think anything just made me feel as bored as 3 or as disappointed as Kill Switch or 1st Person Shooter. Though that devil episode in 9 is pretty god awful.

I loved the second of the new episodes, I feel like it would rank in my top third of episodes if it were part of the original series. A solid entry in the "MOTW episode that dips a toe into myth arc" group. The plot is basically a variant of the story from "The Fury" or "Firestarter" which is one of my favorite types of story. Also, the brother and sister could appear in a really good second episode if they wrote one.
