This is indeed true.

quote:

Two men with mirrors and a wooden cross interrupted a campaign event in Raymond, New Hampshire to perform an exorcism on Ted Cruz on Monday, saying that the Republican presidential candidate was “possessed by a demon.”

According to The Dallas Morning News, Cruz had just finished his stump speech when the men began shouting at the candidate.

“Ted Cruz look in the mirror and let the evil spirit depart!” one man exclaimed. “He’s possessed by a demon!”

As the crowd booed, Cruz suggested that the “very confused fellow” was part of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders’ campaign.

“He’s possessed by a demon!” the man yelled. “The demon has to leave. That’s why the body is so disgusting to look at!”

A second man holding a mirror urged Cruz to look at himself so “the evil can confront itself.”

“Evil body! Evil spirit. Look yourself in the mirror!” the man said.

As the men were being removed from the building by police officers, Cruz noted that the interruption was an “odd thing.”

“Usually lefties don’t believe in God,” Cruz quipped.

The men, who declined to give their names, later explained to reporters why they had heckled the Texas Senator.

“We just had to get rid of the evil spirit. I hope it works,” one man remarked, motioning that he was sick to his stomach. “He’s very hard to be in the same room with. We had to exorcise some sort of disgusting evil spirit. There’s a reason that the body is so haggard and disgusting, and the face, and it’s all so weathered and gross and hard to look at.”

“And it’s because he’s possessed by a demon. Being in the room with evil so close, it’s just hard to even comprehend. The evil is so deep rooted and maybe if it had to confront itself,” the man added.

not relevant but im just sayin

I worked a Republican event where they played this, everyone stood up and sang, and once the song ended, everyone cheered, followed by a random guy clapping and shouting "LET"S LYNCH SOME N----RS!" to even louder applause.

Take a guess who the keynote speaker for that event was! It was Donald Trump!

I was a democrat for all of 5 minutes today. I was exit polled by Fox News and objected when they claimed I was a stereotypical NH swing voter. I countered by saying there isn't much of a reason to keep party affiliation, and just because I voted in the R 2012 primary doesn't mean I would have voted R in the general.

It's a pretty complicated question but I'm assuming he just wanted some variation on "Brown people."

I don't know what the hell is going on, but all of the people I work with from NH who were going to vote for Rubio, Cruz, or Christie last week came in today and said they voted for Trump because of the last debate. Anecdotal evidence I know.

Bush vs Trump going into the convention, establishment screws Trump and hopefully he runs third party to make this entertaining.

I never supported Romney. Gross.

The media usually has preliminary exit polls and will start dropping wink-nod hints around 5 PM, but they're careful about not reporting top-line numbers. Actual exit polls will be released once polls close (and we can reverse vote percentages from them.)

I honestly don't think it's over for Gilmore. There are no viable establishment candidates. I think it'll get so bad that people will say, "why not Gilmore?" jokingly. Then they'll be saying, "well, why NOT Gilmore?" seriously. In the event of a brokered convention I think he's in a better position than the other candidates- all the candidates will do the "it's time for the good people of the Republican Party to get behind a candidate they can trust- namely, me" thing, but I think the divisions will run too deep for Christie delegates to go over to Rubio, Trump delegates to go over to Cruz, or Kasich delegates to go over Bush- basically I think they will all settle on a compromise, since they can't get THEIR guy in and they can't let the OTHER guy in. Gilmentum, baby.

I almost chose Jim Gilmore as my username (not as an alter/gimmick).
