AreWeDrunkYet posted:Maybe it's stronger in the US than it is in Canada? I wouldn't use it around mixed company I wasn't familiar with, and dropping that in a professional situation would generally be seriously discouraged. It's not the worst of words, but the misogynistic implications can make it sticky and especially aren't exactly appropriate for someone running for public office. I'd use it in mixed company, but not in a professional situation, because I wouldn't use pejorative terms at all. Other people have used it in professional situations around me, but I try to keep things as uncontroversial as possible in a professional context. In terms of being a wuss, I'd associate "pussy" more with "cute little kitten" than "bearded clam." Compared to literally everything else Trump has said, "pussy" is positively adorable. Kevin Bloody Wilson wrote the song "Can't Say oval office in Canada." He should write a follow up: "Can't Say Pussy in 'Murica"

Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned. The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity. And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, Slouches towards Cleveland to be born?

I talk to an Anybody-But-Trump lifelong Republican voter who thinks it's a shame that floppy haired orange clown (this phrase, or a slight variation meant to convey "clown" is the only phrase they'll use to address Trump in any context) was just so mean to Jeb, because he would have done such a good job actually solving the problems in this country. Their interpretation of what Rubio does in his speeches is "he's just repeating what he actually believes the way you tell a small child not to stick their finger in the electrical socket."

Montasque posted:Megyn Kelly just broke that Jeb! is plotting a scorched earth policy on Kasich and Rubio in South Carolina. That's been Jeb's strategy the whole time, though. By the way, a lot of Jeb's donors maxed out to him back in July. Even if Jeb catches fire again, they can shovel money to Right to Rise, but not to his campaign. Just a fun think to think about.
