I hope tattoo guy doesn't win if only because the elite 10 are already good enough as a boss squad, we don't need a mid-boss squad cluttering up the place and extending the arc unnecessarily.

Don't fool yourself, we definitely have to work through some mid-bosses here because the elite 10 are clearly shown to be more than the heroes can handle - Souma beat Eizan because Eizan napped through half the recipe I definitely hope Kurokiba annihilates this guy though

Kurokiba tied with Soma in the Fall tournament and Soma recently beat an actual ranked member of the Elite 10. Also, tattoo man has been shown to be the most pathetic of team mid-boss so his defeat won't really make the rest seem weak. So why is everyone so quick to assume that he's going to lose? Edit: Kurokiba is basically the second best chef among the first years, it's not like he's a character that is destined to lose. I'd rather put money on Ikumi taking a loss whenever she gets her match, because she's way more disposable.

I think this could go either way, they do need to show Central beating an actual established chef, but it also makes sense for Central (and this guy in particular) to lose a match to show that they're not invincible, or at least establish the remaining Elite Ten members as the true final bosses. I feel like Alice also has a cloud of doom over her head because having her humiliated or otherwise harmed by Central is an easy way for Erina to insert herself into the fray, maybe by doing something crazy like gaining entry into literally every research society so she can fight for them as much as is reasonably possible. That seems like a loophole one of our heroes should take advantage of, anyway, but then again maybe there's a limit to how many you can be in. Alice cooking sessions are the best though, I want to see her science the hell out of some food again.

I'm curious about the future Shokugekis. For some reason I was convinced Shokugekis could be three on three so I was thinking if Kurokiba loses we might have Souma, Alice and Kurokiba vs Central. Or in the later matches vs the Elite Ten it'd be a team of Souma, Issiki and Takumi going against them.

I'm wondering how many chapters its going to take before we can get rid of Sadface Erina. It's incredibly obvious that at some point she'll just stand up to her father and fight back, but who knows how long that's gonna take.

Normally I'm not a big fan of characters like him (and normally characters like him become "Yamchas" after the first arc they show up in), but I really like something about his general personality. I also hope that Ryou fucks this guy up in this shokugeki. Either this match will be used to show that these Central "elites" are a serious threat, or it will be used to show the rest of the Central people that the freshmen are a threat they need to take seriously. Okay, so Rukia actually was a likable character who got delegated after making the main character able to fight. I remember her being brought into the Soul Society [terrible acronym choice there] on crimes or something and then just sitting in a locked room for like 40 episodes. Anyway, Erina's not as likable as this character I barely remember so no loss if she just stays off on the fringes of relevance like those two dudes who constantly trash Marui's room.

Rukia showed up once in the last 200 chapters, showed off an important new power, and then disappeared. Bleach is and has been just one gigantic ongoing fight between two giant armies with everyone getting their very own fight. I don't think Ichigo has even done anything relevant in a year or two.
