G/W tron vs Abzan. The switch to white is certainly interesting.

What's the white for other than Timely Reinforcements out of the board?

So in Modern we've seen a variety of Eldrazi; Mono-black Black/White Red/Green Blue/Red Blue/Black Black/Green Blue/White Red/Black any I'm missing?

Sacred ground out of the board is hilarious and crushes living end in GW Tron. Also pyroclasm is really bad right now so it's not really giving up much other than grove being the perfect dual land for tron.

Really they should just make a Grove cycle of all ten color pairs so we can have more varieties of Tron.

They would play pretty well with Delirium.

The WU canopy would be the worst one since control decks actually want to have lots of lands in play, and care the most about the damage. It's the ones that go into aggro decks that the format would have to adjust to.

I'd like to see the rest of River of Tears and Nimbus Maze though.

Someone would immediately call him on that but still.

After a standard of no basics, it'd be nice to have a Nimbus Maze cycle to require basics. It'd have to be the block after the block after SoI though so the bofas aren't there.

Bofas explicitly require you to run basics though, while Nimbus Maze doesn't? I guess they're mostly just worse Checklands.

In reality everyone runs basics with bofas because guildgates are not very good. On the other hand you could just use bofas to enable your Nimbus Maze if you really wanted to.

A River of Tears cycle would be great, tbh. In optimal conditions they can be as good as fetchless duals but can present interesting sequencing problems and are obviously worse when you stop hitting land drops. Nimbus Maze cycle would be good in standard with BFZ block because of the colorless mana production and the land types mattering but I doubt they'll do that in SoI.
