The message is that millenials that don't want to join the military but want college money should join the military. Being unwilling to is being whiny because apparently the military has infinite demand for soldiers and will take literally anybody.

Came across a really odd bit of crazy conservative angry shouting today.

I went onto Thingiverse to check out if anything cool was posted (mostly cause I'm still in that "just bought a 3dprinter and want to print lots of poo poo" phase). Well someone posted this. It's been moderated now, but you can still see the few comments that were posted. The images that the uploader supplied were: A dog taking a poo poo, a turd in a toilet, and some political cartoon that looked like a Ben Garrison comic about the BLM movement (so bad enough to start with) but /pol/ edited to have all the black people have "A. Wyatt Mann" racist caricature heads. The model itself was just an outline of the poop emoji.

Of course the description says "*Before you rage in the comments, i am not insulting African Americans, only the black lives matter movement**". I assume the asterisks stand for * "gently caress black people" and **"No really I'm so racist".

The poster has a few other models such as a placard saying "Hillary for prison" and his home page is https://www.donaldjtrump.com. Because of course it is.

Just the oddest place to try and stir poo poo up.

i've said this before but this is a really sneering and elitist argument considering that it's harder to get into the military than most colleges

the entire us military had a recruitment goal of 53,000 people in 2015. there's something like 3.2+ million high school graduates every year

Both of my parents went to college and graduated with zero debt, not because it was free, but because it was super cheap. Now, they both worked and barely got by, but they actually owned a house at the time. So, 25 years old, both have degrees, own a house, sell it a few years later and upgrade. Regular middle class people, only a little support from family.

gently caress you boomers calling today's young people entitled.

Unfortunately for my parents though, it was all for naught due to the huge costs of their parents' death, their own health costs, layoffs, ageism in hiring, and predatory loans. So, ha ha. Take that. :smith: ...and here I am, still apartment living at 35 looking at somewhere down the road having to support my parents on what little I've managed to wring out of the system.

This is pure-strain, spiteful tears of impotent rage.

This is a spoiled child, standing alone and screaming at the top of their lungs. Not out of fear, but out of sheer unbridled hatred.

No amount of teenage gamers' high-pitched shrieking can match this display. Is there a word (possibly foreign) that encapsulates the incredible rage, depression, frustration, confusion, and darkness that Matt Walsh is describing?

My only fear is that Mr. Walsh will never fully understand or comprehend what is happening to the Conservative/Republican movement as a whole.

I really don't get why Walsh and Crowder are so sad about Trump. He's saying the same horrible stuff they are. It's not like they are trying to dogwhistle either when Walsh calls PP murderers that sell baby parts for cold cash or Crowder tries to dress like a woman and sneak into the female locker room at his local gym. I guess with Walsh, it's pretty clear that Trump isn't a religious fanatic but Crowder doesn't really give a poo poo about that other than to pretend he has some kind of moral center.

I remember seeing a clip of it on YouTube and it was just incredibly painful. Like, it was full of really badly done playground-level insults, like one of the hosts trying to make a joke about Barack Obama --> BO --> Body Odor. I had assumed that Fox News decided not to actually air it, but according to the Wikipedia article they ordered and aired 17 episodes before finally giving up amid some of the lowest review scores ever.

It does happen with liberals sometimes (Bill Maher), but explicitly conservative comedians tend to more or less do political rants in the general shape of jokes and expect to get laughs.

The core problem of conservative comedy comes from contemporary conservatism's refusal to admit that it can possibly be wrong. Failure is not an option so the comedian just assumes whatever he's saying is funny. If you disagree the problem is you not them. It also tends to punch down and rely on "lol people not like us sure are dumb and stupid amirite?" There's just no creativity or interest in actually making jokes just "I'm funny because I told you I am."

It's also prone to being more of an attack than a joke; it's spiteful to the core. It's mean. Good comedy doesn't go on the attack. If you pay careful attention to the best comedy one of the core messages is "hey we're all stupid and suck so let's laugh about it." Conservatism starts from "conservatives are awesome and beyond criticism now let's tear down everybody else."
