just took a contract that moves me from an office to a shared-ish workplace, my gut tells me my model m might get me swiftly murdered thinking something with browns, has to be full size (f & 10 keys, macros would be nice) but anything fairly quiet is fine ideally needs to be around 100$, refurb or used is fine

just picked up a Sun Type 7 because my officemate prefers quiet and Sun made the only deece feeling rubber dome keyboards

seems like cooler master or something is the cheapest brand of decent mech. Browns will be sufficient. sounds like you're a bit of a gutter dweller so I won't recommend anything more

there's finally a drop for ALPS double-shot keycaps https://www.massdrop.com/buy/alps-keycaps of course it's a standard ANSI layout so i get windows keys instead of ⌘ keys like stebe intended and not enough F keys to cover my Matias Quiet Pro but eh it's i'll give it a shot, if it looks like hell i'll keep the Matias laser-etched keycaps

i got a corsair strafe keyboard today with cherry mx reds. at first it didn't feel that different from my logitech k360 but then i just kept typing and typing and typing and my god this noise is beautiful. there's no bump though, i probably should've gotten blues me thinks. also the reactive lights while you type are pretty cool for now.
