Shame that they're eating motors and outclassed by many other things at the same price point now.

I have some serious garage envy. Also, what's up with that CRAY box? Building a supercomputer?

Grabbed a few to store and ship parts in, never know when you're going to need a big 4-ply cardboard box.

The E46 has aged so incredibly well it blows my mind. :stwoon:

I've been feeling nostalgic and looking through some of my old car pics recently and both the E36 and E46 M3 coupes still stand out among the rest and look just as sharp as they did then.

^ ran outside and caught a pic of my brother's perfect E46 (stock SMG w/ CSL wheels) right as it was being hauled away by the new owner (I think it was sold because he bought an E92 M3 but not 100%)

The red E36 M3 was bought for under $3k in the middle of winter before the market for them lit up and was sold for good amount of cash later on in the spring. Of course it had 125k miles or so and needed a few things but thankfully my brother and good deal of our car fiends were all working at a BMW dealer at the time.

Here's a little trip down memory lane with some of the things that had been sitting in the driveway at sometime or another in the last 10+yrs (in order, I think). It does suck not having pictures of a lot of stuff though, either because of laziness, things that were quickly flipped, or from during the time before phones had cameras, like my first two beater/pimpmobiles the '86 Grand Marquis and '90 Toronado. Also my red '90 240SX SE fastback that was 100% stock, got it with around 70k miles, and so flawless that the notion of suddenly driving it through winter for the first time was totally out of the question at the time so I decided to sell it around the time when every car associated with drifting started getting snatched up for big money (I sold it to a kid looking for just that, but who shockingly held onto up until last summer and absolutely babied it) and then I bought a '94 Prelude Si which is where this story begins.

Haha more like forum title...I couldn't sleep last night so after I happened to be looking through this thread I decided to work out what I have owned and driven so far this century as I couldn't recall at that moment and it's also been a while since I've gone through the photo archives. Bonus if anyone can guess the three cars that required engine replacements.

I'm driving the ST now so hopefully that should be a committed relationship for at least the next 5 years, and the Miata is gonna get sold this spring because I want a SV650 for the summer commute.

You get a 3.0L V6 (185kw) in the poverty pack model, a 3.6L V6 (210kw) in the various mid range models and a 6.0L (270kw) V8 in the top spec cars. They can all have six speed manuals or autos.

You can also get a ridiculous 400kw HSV model with the 6.2 Lsa engine from the Camaro, if you feel like spending 100k on a family sedan for some reason.

I get that with Expeditions IRL, part of my brain says "hey an Explorer" and the other part says "hey an F150" and when they meet I'm all "does not compute... oh wait they made those"

I've missed having a pickup truck in my life so I bought a new one. Planned on getting something a bit smaller but this popped up for a good price and was close enough. 1979 Ford Courier with ~120k miles, Lima 2.3L I4 engine and a 5-speed. The chassis and everything is built by Mazda for Ford, it's basically a B2200. Apparently it's the long wheel base and bed version.

Has been well maintained and is pretty clean overall. Want to drop it a couple inches then I'm thinking about an engine swap that will confuse the gently caress out of people NOT a V8...or American

Nothing wrong with the prado chassis- toyota got that one well and truly sorted out offroad.

poo poo happens offroad. By the time im done fixing the fallout of THAT bogging ill be up too:

New big end and main bearings
Crankshaft removed and linished
New turbocharger

All because I filled the radiators up with mud and caused the oil temp to get too hot and fail

Full seal kit on transfer case
New wheel bearings front and rear
Rear axle seals
Full set of uni joints in the drive shafts
full brake replacement- rotors and pads

Its probably about a $3,5K fuckup all up.
