 Took the tri-slosher out and had a good time with it. Spyke decided to be merciful and give me pretty much exactly the subs I wanted, and they seemed to work pretty well. Even with all those sub ink savers, there would be times where I'd toss a disruptor and find myself out of ink, so I guess I'll have to get into the practice of disrupting, squidding away and THEN attacking. That'd probably be a good use for ninja squid, because as it was it was a bit of a wash because I kept forgetting I had it.  As a plus, I could see that outfit being pretty good for a lot of weapons I like to use. And it looks pretty good!

So I wasn't able to participate in the splatfest this month because of work but I picked team blue so thanks for the 4 snails I guess. Though I think spike felt sorry for me because he gave me exactly what I wanted on my re-roll for my hat and shoes!

In the spirit of squid fashion week, Rogue Wave shows off her typical "look" This is my splat zone getup. I like it for quick splat grenades, dropping 4-5 ink strikes on the enemy per round, and better long-distance lethality.

I need to come up with better ways of dealing with dynamo rollers, because half of the matches I played on Piranha Pit today turned into my team getting locked down by at least one, sometimes two of them. In short, gently caress dynamo rollers. That said, maybe a carbon roller isn't the best choice for long-range maps like Piranha Pit...but it's so much fun to use! The varsity jacket was a lucky reroll. I used it a couple of days ago and it worked really well, but I didn't have a use for two special savers and a quick super jump, so I rerolled it. First time I did, I got two ink recovery ups and a main ink saver, which was exactly what I wanted. So now it's a permanent part of my wardrobe. Not bad considering I only started using it because I wanted to dress up as the guy from Hotline Miami.

Today I learnt that I am destined to live in B rank forever, and that I'm still terrible with chargers. But I found a new love in the Zink Mini Splatling, because hosing people down and turning on a "lol I'm not dead" button is badass.

I'm slowly realizing that part of being a roller user is understanding when you're outranged, and that part of being a carbon roller user is coming to terms with the fact that you're outranged by almost everything in a straight fight. Which is why you don't fight straight...
