I got the big brown NFC I occasionally post pics of to fill the gap that was left after my roommate's big brown cat died. She was from a pet store, but we always thought she was a NFC (wrong face for a Maine Coon). I found an amazing breeder who screens her breeding stock for the exact sort of thing that felled the now-departed cat & bought Nico for my roommate. We quickly realized that a kitten needs more active play pals than a 11 & 18 year old elderly cat pair (especially when she got bigger than the two of them put together), so I grabbed my Ultra Violet about a year later. Much better for all involved, it's not like a toddler on the rampage at the old folks' home. Now the two NFCs are the best of friends & inseparable so I'm keeping them both when my roomie moves out later this year. The older two also seem to be a lot more active & lively with the young two always playing around. (Hence why I post many pictures of my white floofball, but not so many of the brown one, as she's not "mine", even though she is.)

As some sort of lazy hobbyist artist, I will admit that trying to create the image or styles or technology 900 years into the future sounds like.. daunting task. And technology would most certainly affect the fashion too. So, in that sense I don't exactly blame people if they opt to go with what they 'know'.. but it's not very creative. I mean, middle ages vs modern time, don't think anyone in their wildest dreams could have imagined the poo poo we come up with.. and thanks to the crazy rate technology will continue to advance.. well.. 900 years is a drat long time. Knowing that, it does seem rather silly how they've approached all of it.. they're stuck in those say.. 80's or 90's space adventure styles instead of going for a more futuristic view. Weird being stuck in age like that, but I guess that's the vision Roberts is stuck with. The vision he never got to create and never bothered to update? So yeah, it'd be nice if they tried going creative and wild, do something really different. I've had my share of laughs over goofy costumes in futuristic movies but when you think about it, at least they're trying something new instead of playing it safe. Also, 900 years into the future? We're already developing robotics and taking quite big advances on that field, why is it that everything relies on humans in the future? Is there some explanation to it in the lore, ala Dune where thinking machines were wiped out? And out of curiosity, how many major disasters and such did they include into the that 900 year period? Wars, natural ones etc?

Not all cattes and dogs will be friends but it is great when they bond over their common love of food and soft places to sleep. Greyhound and black catte bros And yeah, get a rescue cat. Don't rush and get the first one you find, check a few adoption events until you find the right catte for you ; you will know.

My rescue cat chose me rather than the other way around. Due to my own lovely health, I wanted to get an older cat.... one that sleeps all day and doesn't make much noise. When I got to the rescue centre, as soon as Bow saw me, me wouldn't stop meowing. He was eating at the time, and kept going back to his food bowl to take a mouthful, then chewed and swallowed whilst doing figures of 8 around my legs. He was meowing throughout all of this. "I'll have that human please." So I came home with a 7 month old neurotic, loud, attention-seeking crazy furball... and I haven't regretted it one bit
