I keep hearing the phrase "most electable" when referring to Rubio, but as I've said before I don't buy it. What that really means is him (and Kasich) would lose to Hillary by the least. The fact they either of them would carry their home swing states helps, but at the end of the day they would fill the role of "generic republican" that Romney did in 2012 and produce a similar result. The GOP doesn't have the numbers to put a safe choice up and except a calm waltz to the White House.

If the GOP values winning the white house, their best bet is a high-risk play like Trump. He has far more potential for crossover appeal then Rubio or Kasich, and he is the strongest campaigner, of any candidate by far.

If they value the sweet gravy train they have now of holding congress and appeasing their corporate masters, then they should write this election off as a loss stick to their current playbook of obstructing Hillary at every turn, and try again in 2024.

I think some people like the "idea" of Rubio: this young, Hispanic upstart from a purple state who is the new face of the GOP. But once they spend more than 30 seconds reading about his past, his general laziness and how opportunistic he is, the idealistic image of Rubio falls flat. Once people started paying attention they realized he was just an empty suit like the rest, and his style of speaking sounds more like whining, and the fact that he's constantly sweating and looks like he's ready to puke during every public appearance just seals the deal that he's an unelectable poo poo.

A massively unlikable lightweight like Marco Rubio has a 0% chance of winning the GE, he's the Coke Zero Mitt Romney.

Trump is the only candidate who actually stands a chance of winning and not limping to another 2012-style loss.

These polls are about as worthless as head to head general election polls right now.

The vast majority of people who say "I SWEAR ON THE LIVES OF MY CHILDREN I'LL NEVER VOTE FOR HILLARY/TRUMP, EVER, FROM NOW UNTIL THE HEAT DEATH OF THE UNIVERSE" will vote for them in the GE and are just having a temper tantrum.

The GOPe would have a field day running against an under investigation-by-the-FBI-Hillary, and Socialist Bernie, and that is why they are freaking out to such an extent. Instead of a comfortable win in the race for the White House, the party is facing annihilation.

Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush would not have been comfortable wins, they would have gotten crushed because they're both poo poo unlikable cunts. And if Ted Cruz somehow got the nomination he'd have carried 0 states on account of being the worst human being alive.

Hillary Clinton could literally be in prison, and the presidential debates held within her jail cell while she's dressed in an orange jumpsuit and wearing a giant novelty ball and chain, and she'd STILL have beaten any of those three stiffs.

yeah but he'll save us $300 billion a year on drugs by making Deals

never mind that $300 billion is the total amount the entire country spends on drugs which would mean he's going to get them to us completely for free

In typical fashion, the libtards that post here have - once again - taken what Trump has listed on his website in great detail way out of context and are forgetting that he's promised to Make America Great Again by saying he'll make America great again a lot of times. Maybe you should all wait for his healthplan outline for his current outline of his healthplan before you say something more.

If you have insurance through your employer, it already comes pre-tax. If you don't, you are generally either poor (in which case you pay no taxes) or are rich. Although health insurance premiums are deductible on the schedule A, they are phased out at high incomes (not to mention the 10% threshold).Allowing them to be fully deductible is essentially a hand out to the rich. Now, if they were also fully refundable, it would be a handout to the poor & working class, which is what Obama care already does.
