No Man Sky is Minecraftish, it's a hybrid space/light Minecraft game about discovery.

Yeah, those rear end-clowns have no clue how the world, let alone the legal system, works. Seriously, I still hold out hope that they get stupid and sue me or someone else. In fact, ANY legal action that comes from this, is going to involve me in some capacity. As I type this, there is one (no, I can't talk about it) legal (arbitration) action (by a third-party) that is in the works and which I am hoping goes forward so that I can get injected into it. The minute that happens, it's all over. The key issue has always been that any civil legal action arising out of their non-delivery, will have to get past the arbitration clause in the ToS. Unless someone is willing to roll the dice and go straight for fraud and another causes of action, it's a non-starter. Which is why the more complaints that are sent to the Feds (FBI, FTC), BBB, expressed online, expressed in emails etc the better. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that when this collapses, that it is going to be a legal poo poo storm of epic proportions. And I'm going to be right there on the ground floor, sifting through all their poo poo.

I forgot to add The Witness and SOMA, which I'd put relatively close to X to Jason in terms of buttony things to do. I totally love that genre, but I get why people find them boring.

He doesn't want the Dream Baby to be bested in any possible way, since he's got the most money and expectations are higher for his game than anything in the space race. I'm not especially excited about NMS as gamer, but as a fly in Chris Roberts' ointment, and one of so many pending over the next year, I'm rather delighted. --- Speaking of Dreams! /StarCitizen: Will there be planetary scale land wars? Beet Wagon posted:I love how deep the schism is between carebears and every semi-normal person ever. The big problem they have is that as long as there are no game system in place (be it economy, fuel, multi-system travel, ect) any ship they create for counter piracy can be instead used for piracy. Naval Monitor (very light cruiser with a keel designed for shallow water and very large guns) existed because they where a quick, low cost defense to prevent the enemy ocean going vessel to come too close to places without costal batteries. Never intended to operate far from land, they sacrified stores and crew space for more armor and "As big as you can make them for this hull" kind of guns. No cruiser or above captain would risk his ship, far from land and supply, to engage a cheap monitor with its big guns (unless it was its order as a step for further operations) who could wound him with a lucky shot and slow him down long enough for other ships to force him to surrender so they worked well as deterrent. They where put out of work by many factors but mostly by the patrol boats who, with its cheap 2 shot torpedo tube could be a threat to a 300M$, 300 crew cruiser or a 30M$ 100 crew destroyer wandering close to the coast while only costing 50k$ and 10 crewmen (torpedo not included). Anyway. The ships have no roles because there is no games. They are all single seater fighters for all i care. aleksendr fucked around with this message at 19:57 on Mar 3, 2016 |

I still don't understand how a shitizen brain can see the progress that has been made so far and extrapolate that into all these insane gameplay scenarios and still believe they will ever see it in their life time or that the team that has delivered the current turd in a punchbowl could even manage these things.. Like just one example of a trade convoy being attacked by a group of pirates.
And this is for a combat scenario, combat being the only thing that is even marginally in the game at this point. What about all the spergs who think they are going to be a space explorer or space farmer, space doctor, space researcher, space scientist, space entrepreneur, space this that and the other. How can they look at what is there so far and still believe any of this is going to happen? How? It boggles my mind.

If they implement grabby hands and cargo tetris the biggest threat to traders will be the newbie pilot who simply ram the trader ship by mistake while the guy is doing EVA to load its 22nd out of 30 Big Bennie. You could wreck thousand in goods for a single wanted star.

Oh poo poo I forgot about this when I was catching up on it originally but A disc-shaped ship that's meant to beat the poo poo out of anything that comes close to it, called the Monitor? quote:The Defiant-class was a type of Federation starship in use by Starfleet in the 24th century. Although officially designated as an escort, the Defiant ships were the first type of starship Starfleet ever created as a dedicated-purpose warship, and they are sometimes referred to as destroyers. quote:The USS Monitor was a Defiant-class Federation starship in service in the late 24th century. ...naaah
