DarkSol posted:Can I get the recipe for both, please? That looks delicious! O-one is just rice? But the potato curry is super simple. Ingredients: Potatoes, Onions, Mixed veggies (optional), Oil, Salt, Madras Curry powder (also called garam masala), Cayenne chili peppers (or powder), Asfoetida powder (optional), Mustard seeds or Cumin, plain yogurt or sour cream. Directions: 1. Dice and cube however many potatoes you want. I used five for this because I was cooking for five people. 1 potato per person, essentially. 2. Put them in water, add a little salt and boil them for 5-10 minutes (depending on quantity). Use a spoon to check out how soft it gets, if your spoon can cut through the potato, it's soft enough. 3. Drain the water. 4. Put the potatoes in a frying pan. At this point, if you have mixed veggies, thaw them and then throw them in for added flavor. Also cut up onions (whatever kind) and throw them in. 5. Drop 1/4th of a cup of oil on the potatoes in the pan. 6. Throw in cumin or mustard seeds. 7. Throw a spoon of curry powder (and Asfoetida if you have it). 8. Throw half a spoon of chili powder (or a spoon if you like it spicy). 9. Turn up the heat and mix. 10. Add a little bit of water (no more than 1/4th of a cup). 11. Add a few spoons of plain yogurt or sour cream (to get that creamy taste that restaurants have. 12. Add salt (just add slowly and taste consistently till you have it). Then mix the potato curry with plain rice, it's pretty good!

Thanks to this thread I'm going back and playing some old Chris Roberts games Interestingly enough, the ones I'm enjoying the most, Wing Commander II, Privateer, Starlancer and Freelancer, he was either fired from his own project or he had no actual involvement

The fact that they keep referring to it as alpha is very disingenuous. It is not alpha. It's a prototype and/or tech demo. Alpha posted:Alpha is the stage when key gameplay functionality is implemented, and assets are partially finished. A game in alpha is feature complete, that is, game is playable and contains all the major features. These features may be further revised based on testing and feedback. Additional small, new features may be added, similarly planned, but unimplemented features may be dropped. Programmers focus mainly on finishing the codebase, rather than implementing additions. Alpha occurs eight to ten months before code release, but this can vary significantly based on the scope of content and assets any given game has. But I guess I'm just nitpicking.

Beer4TheBeerGod posted:Lando himself admitted it was pre alpha. Yeah I remember him saying that. Besides it is very obvious it isn't close to an alpha or remotely playable state. I also don't think it will ever have any sort of persistent world type game play. It will remain instanced because everyone is focused on Squadron 42 and moving from its current state to persistence requires a lot of work. If you read up on the Vampire MMO, it reads much like Star Citizen. People kept getting pulled off of it to work on EVE so progress was slow and constantly reset. There was no cohesive vision and systems were implemented and the refined and completed but then scrapped because another system didn't fit it. The whole thing went on for 9 years until it was finally canned.

Why, I'm a star, it replied, And I love your solitude, I love your pride. la la la, la la la, la la la la la parp la la la la la parp la la la la la parp la la la la la parp Then star, let's code another game, I'm going to give you cash and fame, Saying this he climbed inside To be the one, to be the only guide. Inside the RSI forums the line is "of course it doesn't work it's alpha" Outside of RSI all the comments on gaming sites etc are marketing, they shut down each objection with 'facts', like a salesman is trained to do. Get the objection, nullify it, repeat. Every objection/complaint is now well known and has a default response. Inside of RSI these same objections / complaints are just shut down and the poster mocked into looking like he doesn't know what he's doing. It's all marketing, all of it, either by design or bizarre coincidence. Also catte.
