Demons are also trying a zone defence to a mixed return, if Boyd had kicked better then he would have had two goals already.

A bit of wind out there now and Melbourne are badly overpossessing the ball.

He's been marking well but absolutely butchering it. had to change to radio about halfway through because my internet is hosed for some reason(copper is good for internet lol), and now I have to listen to loving chris loving connoly?

Oliver has had a good two weeks, will be ready to be called up from the VFL when needed. Watts recovered well after quarter time, maybe just adjusting to conditions? Worried about the attacking mindset when we don't have hogan up forward. Not much evidence of Goodwin's supposedly more attacking game plan. Jones is looking fine in his first game since neck surgery Grimes simply isn't good enough. Kennedy and Kent could be good supporting acts to Garlett.

Melbourne should have beaten us by a lot more, I honestly can't name a major player that they were missing outside of Hogan.

I'll take it. No injuries and getting used to the idea of winning is probably the most important thing for us in the nab

Apparently Mackay has hosted one one day international ever, in 1992, and it was washed out after two balls.

uhhhhhh, do they even know who the gently caress Josh Dunkley is? He's a midfielder that rests forward, he's not slightly built and he doesn't need to build his frame at all.

First win by the dogs against us, by the looks of it they were pretty well in control apart from the second quarter where we didn't capitalise. Hope finished with 3 goals which might be the best individual return so far? Pearce a tidy 33 disposals.

If you don't know about the kid don't write about him as if you do?

The guy that wrote the article just figured that his dad was a fullback so clearly Dunkley is a defender also. Hell, it's not like we recruited him in one role and are playing him in a different one.

They should be the ones informing fans and the general footy world about people who have been on the list for less than 6 months

It's a bit early since the proper start to the season is still a little over a fortnight away (I hadn't realised how early Easter is this year) but I'm getting back into firing up the statto machine.code:
Going out on a limb, I'd say that Geelong, Port Adelaide and St Kilda will improve, Hawthorn (due to Roughead's absence, and you can't stay that good for that long, he says), hmm maybe Richmond and Adelaide and of course Essendon will slip back a bit. Last year's average score was 86.4 (just a tick lower than last year, and still quite low in modern times) so the par is 864. Oh yeah, looking at that, I need to change the HMB fixtures back to the SCG too - not that it makes any functional difference for the thing, although I think from memory the Swans haven't done as well at Homebush as they have at the SCG over the years. I'm hoping to sort out some fancier formatting which is a little easier to read. Information design is harder than it looks.
