i'm sad to see that trump is not breaking his streak tonight, he's at 47.7 in MS. taking bets on what the first trump 50+% state will be, or if he will cruise to the nomination without ever having gained the support of a majority of republicans! joementum, has that ever happened? MI polling was apparently terrible, i can't wait to digest exit polls but my takeaway is going to be that hillary needs to heavily adopt bernie's message to consolidate dem support there. fortunately, from her speech she seems to know this.

Tercio posted:Yeah sorry, sometimes your chosen candidate loses in a given state. Unless your only interest is delegate math, and if that's the case there's nothing to be frustrated about, friend. I like both Hillary and Bernie. I like both of them, and I'm glad that Bernie ran and has been as successful as he is. This forum in particular has a dialogue that bugs the poo poo out of me, and seems to have unrealistic expectations about what things do and do not mean. That's all!

Schnorkles posted:yeah, I know friends. I reread and edited. Apologies. Misunderstanding, nbd, although I do essentially agree with you that Bernie doesn't have much of a shot left (I am personally very pro-Bernie and will still vote for him in the Maryland primary even though the nails should be thoroughly in the coffin by then). At this point it seems important to me that this primary stays as close as possible in order to try to leave some fear of the progressive left intact in the Democratic Party. I want Hillary to think "oh poo poo I need to start rebuilding some of these bridges we burned if I want to win the general election" because I firmly believe that if she wins with too big of a margin none of that would ever cross her mind. It might not anyway.

fknlo posted:I'm not sure if I see Hillary closing the 30,000 vote lead Bernie has going. Yeah, with 72% in, it would take a MS-style lopsided vote to deny Bernie that checkmark now. Let's check with Karl Rove! Wayne is down to 56% Clinton, which is far more survivable. Had it gone full 2:1 it would have been waaaay closer for Bernie.
