Feral Integral posted:His battle right now is to beat Hillary, not to change trump/cruz supporters minds (hint: their beliefs are not based in fact-based rationality) If he's up against Trump he needs to be able to convince anti-Trump people on the right that he's safe to vote for. If he's up against Cruz he needs to convince pro-Trump people that the few things he and Trump agree upon are worth giving him a vote even though he's a socialist boogieman. You're right though, neither of those groups are grounded in reality, so who the gently caress knows. It's not as if he's gonna pull off getting the nomination anyway.

Someone should measure the weirdly random amount of time they gave candidates to answer questions. For the latter half it felt like they were panicking and cutting Bernie off every few seconds. They weren't all that great with Hillary, either. The Benghazi question was just a huge waste of time, and Bernie ended up taking his share of that dumb time to instead talk about foreign policy intervention that isn't a dishonest GOP attack line.

i don't know much about fracking but am i wrong to think that the locally un-opposed, ecologically harmless fracking that HRC would theoretically support is a metaphorical leprechaun heres my conspiracy theory HRC: you may only frack if you follow these guidelines, which ensure that no environmental harm occurs *guidelines do not actually ensure that no environmental harm occurs* *people get hosed but the fracking industry gets a nice return on investment*

Bernie is basically a D&D poster which is to say he's a 60s new left hippie who had a hardon for Socialism of USSR and Cuba and willing to excuse the fact that they were dictatorships cuz they were left-wing enough. And he never gave that up even though it's 2016. So I guess it's more accurate D&D tries to emulate bernie

I'm not on the fence, I voted for Bernie in the VA primary because I think the party should shift to the left. I just support Hillary because 1. She is right on some thing Obama has been wrong on and 2. Obama freely admits it. She isn't the perfect candidate, but that isn't going to stop me from doing my best to bring about a D win in November. I think the issue here is I genuinely do not dislike hillary were as a very very large amount of people here do so when we talk about this poo poo were coming at it from vastly different angles.
