Know how some people can do really spot on animal calls? I do squirrel clicks. I can stop a wild squirrel dead in it's tracks and make it come to me. People laugh when I tell them, then I do it to the next squirrel we see. No treats, just clicks. It was tremendously disappointing to discover this was my superpower at a teenager. I guess most of the cool animal-man powers were already copyrighted.  Cat Tax in the form of Fiona's ridiculously fuzzy feet. So fuzzy.

On our way back, I was waiting in the Departure Bay ferry terminal. My coworker noticed something in the water, and when it got closer, it was a Sea Otter. It got right up close to the pier, then dove deep. It came back up with a crab half it's size, put it on a rock right under our window and went to town. Took out the claws then went right for the face  I had to go before I could see what he was planning on doing with the rest. Nature is awesome.

Every year I say I'll take Kami's loss a little better and every year I fail miserably, 3 years since the day and I still become a wreck when I remember him today. Rather than blabber on I'll just post pictures of him, cause he was a good boy and I miss him very much.    I dunno if cats can love each other like humans can but I'm pretty sure these 2 really liked each other, they where rarely apart.
