Couple of days behind the video, but I have to ask: Coolguye, how do you plan on revealing the Lord Regent's crimes to Dunwall when you've systematically destroyed each and every speaker in the city? On a serious note, after how into it the Outsider was with the post-death speech, I really wonder what his post-non-lethal speech sounds like.

RoboKy, why didn't you kill the announcer? We could have had the one voiced by Carrie Fisher!

It is so weird that they got Fisher to do VO for the game but then put her behind an optional and easily missable murder. Even on my death sprees I spared that dude cause he was just stuck in dingy tower all day talking into a mic.

I had no idea until I'd played through the game twice, and even then I read it online rather than found out myself. That guy is so out of the way, and there is no reason to go up there in a high chaos run, and low chaos runs generally don't involve killing innocents. I'd love to know the rationale behind that decision.

The only true way to deal with the Lord Regent is to release the tape and then kill him. Ruin his reputation and then, when he's killed, no one will even consider him as some sort of martyr.

Return to the Tower (Low Chaos): Youtube Polsy

Not bad a climb and sprint for an old man. Maybe he got some extra adrenalin to attempt to stop the broadcast. He wakes up all groggy and hears what's going on and clears the waterlock in one jump and madly dashes across the courtyard and up the stairs when a pair of mysteriously awake guards pull him over for speeding. It would be amusing if he didn't notice the guards went missing and walked into the prison by himself. All the guards just staring as he enters the first available cell and sits down, never looking behind him.

It sounded like he definitely felt guilty about where things went, probably recorded it as a "history will vindicate me" confession thing.

"Corvo's already a felon, can't get much worse than that." I dunno, stuff like bouncing that dude's head off of his own piss and the enemies that keep getting bisected by walls and poo poo yet are still alive probably count as crimes against humanity

IronSaber posted:Especially since he left the most incriminating recording of himself lying around instead of destroying it like a sane person. Let's be honest here. Everyone has had incriminating stuff that they keep. Roboky keeps a dead body with him most of the time, we've got a "scientist" who kept records of poisoning/infecting people, the high overseer's black book... the list goes on. Keeping incriminating evidence about yourself seems to be an important tradition here.

A safe conspicuously placed in his minimalist bedroom, where guards seem to patrol constantly, and apparently also where the news broadcaster is sometimes allowed into? Who else has access to the room where the Lord Regent keeps his Ross Ulbricht-esque "my crimes.txt" audio log? It's not even a wall safe behind a loving painting. It's just a big tempting metal box sitting in the middle of his room that any maid, guardsman, new broadcaster, or whoever could get a Big Idea to brute force the 3-digit code for riches and instead find out the Lord Regent's deepest, darkest, most incriminating secret.

If Hiram Burrows had displayed any sort of competency in his plots and plans up to this point I might have gotten annoyed by how he prepped his own petard for hoisting, but honestly just look at the guy! He's been operating with so little oversight for so long he has no idea what succeeding at something actually looks like. This is a guy that probably thinks spilling his coffee all over his pants while trying to read the newspaper in a dignified pose is how you start your day. The kind of guy that thinks he's mastered tripping face-first down the stairs as a means to get to the bottom faster. He probably accidentally burned off all his hair doing something stupid and is convinced he's minimized his personal drag. Hiram Burrows is the kind of spymaster that when confronted with a lack of evidence to match his intuition regarding the safety of the kingdom he decided the potential enemy was so insidious as to be able to hide from even his amazingly talented methods, so the only way to destroy this enemy nobody could tell was there but him was to imperil the kingdom in an utterly stupefying manner. That he ultimately made it ridiculously easy to reveal him as the cause of the city's suffering is less shocking than the idea that he managed to avoid revealing it in the first few seconds of the Empress' murder by not going "MY GODS! THE EMPRESS HAS BEEN KILLED TO PROTECT ME FROM THE REVELATION OF THE PLAGUE BEING MY DIRECT FAULT! A VERY GOOD REASON! ARREST CORVO!" like he probably wanted to.

At this point, Hiram was definitely losing it. We'd killed/kidnapped/banished all of his allies, everything he had going well for him has been kicked away and then this happened. He thinks the assassin is a ghost of the vengeful empress or something, and to top it off? He gets bottled, twice.

I don't know if it's a weird issue on my end, but the episode ends on you about to start a sentence "Yep, the uh..." and Orv never kills the announcer. Was that intentional? This episode though. This loving episode. And I totally forgot there was DLC oh my god there's still so much of this LP left.
