You could try downloading on PS3 then transferring it to Vita, that might be a little faster (I think this is possible, maybe I'm thinking of PSP)

I dunno I have fiber and when I was redownloading most of my collection to the 64 GB I'd clear those 3 gig games in under 45 minutes, with the caveat that sometimes the download would basically stop and I'd have to pause/unpause until the speed wasn't hosed.

It's Sony so yes, also the PSN can be dumb as gently caress too because it's doesn't bother searching for the best server to download stuff from, hence pausing it and forcing it to connect to a different one might speed things up.

Vita downloads don't only go slow themselves, they also interfere with other functions on the network they're happening. On mine they make 90% of all dns requests fail.
