I'm pretty sure Action Mans response is because you don't take things from Team Venture, not that he was actually concerned about Rusty. Turnbuckle's final insult was just more Action Man instability. I love Turnbuckle's bare knuckle boxing poses.

Speaking of Molotov, this will be the first season in which she won't make any appearance (I hope...). Glad that she's off and that more interesting female characters are brought on-board.

Yeah, Molotov was a fun character concept and had some great moments early on, but as the show has started taking itself more seriously and moved away from the straight adventure pastiche storylines, her appearances have been hampered by limited character development and a certain lack of emotional depth. We've gotten a few interesting tidbits about her, like her ludicrous "civilian" outfit, but she also got stuck in the middle of one of the most convoluted plotlines in this show's history and after the assassination plot it seems like the writers sort of lost interest in her as a character. The whole Blackhearts storyline never amounted to much except that it introduced Sphinx! and gave Rusty someone to test his fly juice on. Then it seemed like they were setting up a new plot with her, Monstroso, and the Investors, but instead they just completely exploded that plot and I'm not sure what the point of it all was (Season 5/Gargantua 2 are full of plotline non-payoffs and weird left turns, like they just got bored in the years between seasons and decided to scrap their old plans). Mol will come back at some point, I'm sure, but I think her role in the series is largely over. Oh and speaking of interesting female characters and dead plotlines, what the hell happened to Amber Gold? I was really starting to like her (riding that giraffe was great) and it seems like they had plans for her, but now she's just gone without even a mention. Was the actor not available or something? Snoopy and Head Shot were fun too and I really wish they hadn't been so abrupt about ending the OSI/investors/Council plotline because I was looking forward to more fun spy antics.

I think they just saw the opportunity in the stories to be told by moving everyone to NYC, especially the Monarch, and decided that was more important than retreading existing characters and plotlines.

Yeah they definitely were clearing the decks with Gargantua 2, but I don't think they handled it all that well. I don't mind them killing off the Council of 13 really, but they'd never so much as hinted that the Sovereign would be that desperate (and the "not really Bowie" thing is an awkward retcon) and the two seasons they spent teasing us with the mystery of the Investors feels pretty pointless now that they're dead.

We know he's not really Bowie, and that he presumably got his powers from the Investors. He didn't like his old self (a nobody). He presented himself as Jonas to DMTM, when she doesn't really have that big of a connection to him, which seems strange. Now we learn that someone collected the bounty on the Blue Morpho, but Sovereign purged that information. I wonder if he used to be someone from Team Venture or connected to them somehow. Are all the known Team Venture guys accounted for?

Is it still a valid theory that Vendata is the cyborg made from Monarch's dad? When he was knocked out of commission in the villain night club episode, Vendata was muttering stuff about a plane going down. There was also a recent comment from Monarch about his parents being in Greece, and they match up to background characters from Spanikopita flashbacks.

Holds up. I mean considering how close Jonas and Morpho were, I wouldn't be surprised if Morpho survived the plane wreck (probably horribly disfigured) and Jonas decided to make him into a robocop.

Guy's even got "morph" in his name. ... yeah, but the "morph" in his name is from a butterfly that has been called a morpho since before Michael Jackson turned "morph" into a household word. I think the best "Who is Blue Morpho besides Blue Morpho, (insert name of secret identity here), and Monarch's pop" theory is that he's Venturion/Vendata. Making him also the Sovereign... well, I suppose anything's possible, but I highly doubt it. I'm pretty sure his death is as carved in stone as things can be on this show, where admittedly death means only slightly more than it does on Star Trek.
