Only the one I know of near Ohio is Chattanooga, TN. There aren't a lot of places that do encounters on a regular basis

Yeah it's confusing. Only 3 places I have found that clearly let you visit pandas are Chattanooga, Wellington and Oglebay. I would definitely look into that Brookfield Zoo event coming up though, looks like they put a lot of work into it even if you won't get to get up close. San Diego Zoo has a backstage pass for giant pandas but not the red ones

The Fanklin Park Zoo in Boston lets you visit red pandas in their enclosure if you donate over a hundred bucks or so, but that's not available until 2017 when they finish rebuilding that area of the zoo!

I'll call them up, because if they are gonna do encounters, it would be a dream come true for me. And so close!

Utica, NY zoo does close encounters but it's $125 and only one slot for two people a week.

Hmm, the improper loafing gets a B- but the look of ennui and the dangling legs to keep the center of gravity low earns an A- Room for improvement. Definitely teamster-level though.
