My bet is Marvel is finally doing something about the while "killed an original X-Men member off screen" thing and showing what happened and everyone's reactions. Or we finally get the mutant Holocaust Marvel keeps foreshadowing.

If we could get the all female X-Men team from Adjective-less X-Men by G Willow Wilson, but a) have her write it from the start and b) give her a decent artist, it'd instantly become the best X-Men team book of ANAD Marvel. burnishedfume fucked around with this message at 08:08 on Mar 27, 2016 |

Uh, which X-Factor? It's not a weird question: there's the original series by Louise Simonson, which I could never get into, and about three or four different reboots with Peter David.

PAD's stuff, the original 90's run and the Madrox mini-series and ensuing revival I can't really imagine liking Simonson's X-Factor since it A. pretty much requires you to give a poo poo about all of the original X-Men and B. be okay with how hard it makes Cyclops and Jean just completely unlikable (especially the former) like other than being the first appearance of Apocalypse (who I'm mostly lukewarm on at the best of times) there's not a lot going on unless you legitimately think Rusty Collins and Skids are rad characters

I hope Storm dies. I've never thought she was particularly interesting. Like, there's so much potential, but from what I've read she's pretty much a black Cyclops-from-before-he-was-cool that made smooches with Wolverine. I'm eating for Marvel Unlimited to catch up with the ANAD stuff, so it could be different now.

I just hope they cancel the whole line. It's clear they have no idea what to do with it and they no longer have good creators working on it. Put it down for a few years at least if not permanently.

I think the team books would be fine if they weren't all constantly covering the same ground and also derailed by massive crossovers every year.

As well as a multi-year moratorium on crossovers more extensive than say SG/Howard. If X-Men 92 is good I'm gonna drop Uncanny and maybe All-New as well. Last time poo poo was this (in-universe) dire for the X-Men, that post-M-Day stuff up through Second Coming, I couldn't get enough. Maybe they're trying to recapture that feeling in fans like me but if so they're way the gently caress off the mark. I guess I just bitched about events but I'm looking forward to this upcoming one if only for the chance that it gets rid of this bullshit Terrigen/M-Pox status quo. Like Apocalypse shows up and just inhales the whole cloud and there, done.

That or bring a Logan who is for all intents and purposes the same Logan as the one from 616 only grumpier and sometimes remembers people who don't matter because they're not around in this timeline. ANXM is very pleasant in a way that reminds me of that spate of weirdly low-key books that came out during Heroes Reborn-- the John Ostrander Heroes For Hire, for example, or some other thing Pasqual Ferry probably drew. It's nice and leisurely and has fun putting old pieces together in new ways. I'm sure if you ask me in 2019 to describe it I'll draw a blank but for now I'm totally fine with it.
