For anybody wondering why the rules get more relaxed for the dragon balls it's Shenron is training. By the time of namek be unlocks his new Super Shenron form and I'm sure we'll see Super God Shenron Blue in the series soon enough.

AFTER Buu destroyed the Earth and it got wished back, maybe 16 really did get revived, but decided to live in nature away from everyone else. With the birds. Wonder if he and 17 hang out from time to time, given that he's a park ranger.

The answer to all of that is that Lunch was meant to be in that panel, and then Toriyama changed her to 17 for some reason. Hence why 17 talks about hearing a voice he hasn't heard in a while when it is a voice he has never heard (beyond Gero's programming, maybe?) and why he seems to be giving Ki when he has no Ki at all to give. The anime takes the panel and makes a logical (and cool) scene out of it, in one of the few times I will willingly give Toei credit for doing something right.

The anime actually changes a lot of things for the better. It also stretches a lot of things to the breaking point but good and bad.

I feel like I might have missed the joke. Then again, I haven't seen any Digimon. And don't know poo poo about Broly since I haven't seen the movies. I'm pretty sure that doesn't follow the film's story with a lot of cuts and extra humor a la DBZ Abridged though. Also that it was terrible.
