I usually GM, and although I love to do it, I wouldn't mind being on the other side of the GM screen for once. I am definitely the roleplaying type of dude, who goes all out in working on his character's backstory, uses different (poorly voiced) accents for characters, etc. So either a GM's best friend or worst nightmare.

What are you willing to play? We're between games now but the current plan is to run Microscope to generate a setting and then run various games in the setting that we all co-create. Between our 3 GMs we're well versed in D&D4, Strike!, Dungeon World, FFG Star Wars, and a bunch of other stuff. So it'll really depend on what kind of setting we create and what kind of stories/situations the GMs have good ideas for. We generally meet Saturday evenings at 7 and go until people get tired or the GM runs out of steam.

I'm new to Portland and live just a few blocks down from Guardian Games, so I've decided to start looking for a group. If I can't find one, I've also considered starting one, but that might be a little too much overhead for right now. User Name Poison Mushroom Contact Info PMs, though Skype will work too. I've heard D&D 5e is the new hotness, so I'm totally willing to learn that. Shadowrun is also an old favorite of mine, and I'm more than familiar with Pathfinder, 3.5e, and 4e, though I've got no special preference for them. Also got at least some experience with FATE and 13th Age, and I'm willing to give just about anything else at least a fair shake. Scheduling is the only possible issue right now. I'm currently looking for work and my most promising option would be graveyard shift, so I'd possibly need to duck out early if the game is later in the day. If I had a preference, it'd be weekend afternoons, but my schedule is otherwise pretty open, so I'm good with giving whatever happens a shot.

I've played and know the ins and outs of D&D 4E and 3.X, 13th Age, the FFG Star Wars and WHFRP games, most of the 40k RPGs, and a few other things. I have no real experience with GURPS, PbtA, or FATE, but I'm willing to give them a shot. I'd be willing to run WHFRP 3E, 13th Age, Gamma World, D&D 4E, Pathfinder, Only War, Rogue Trader, or Deathwatch since those are the games I actually own.

This thread doesn't seem active, but I'll try. The only experience I've had playing any sort of physical tabletop game, was joining in for a day with my Mormon neighbors playing D&D. They were all brothers, and the DM refused to let anyone do anything unless it was good and lawful. After that one time I suddenly had other plans everytime they invited me to play again. However, watching the Yogs D&D and now that Rooster Teeth has started one as well, I really want to find normal people to play with.
