First episode is amazing but that opening scene really is perfect for setting the mood for the series. Nice quiet town life with something a little dark (and a little humor) behind it all For anime only folks, there were some slight additions and removals from the manga. Additions: The opening scene and Angelo attacking the couple are the real standouts Removals: Only major removal is that they didn't go into detail on Angelo's last crime (Jotaro only mentioned that it was heinous enough to make rats puke). The crime was that Angelo attacked three teenage boys. He raped, robbed, and murdered two immediately and used the third one was a ransom hostage after finding out his parents were loaded. Angelo was caught trying to accept the ransom, but he already killed the third boy and sewn pieces of the boy to a wooden pole.

At one minute, 30 seconds in, there's the nichest of all JoJolion (part 8) references. david are amazing. Red Crazy Diamond is amazing and I am glad that the anime has finally gotten to premiere the best JoJo and best Stand.

I like how during the introduction with Jotaro and the cab driver that the transmission tower they pass might very well be a reference to Super Fly Loving the new sound direction, overall an amazing first episode.

If you've read the manga make sure you look through the crowd of people at the end, lots of familiar faces. I had to rewind at first because I thought I saw Polnareff

Man, this episode was really good. I love all the little nods to future stuff they slipped in, and Red Crazy Diamond looked real good. I sort of forget, did Jotaro stop time in the manga? I remember him saying he almost needed to but didn't actually do it.

That's Jotaro's theme and you could essentially call it his leit motif so modified versions of it will show up throughout DIU. If there's any more parts that reference parts of part 3, I imagine the same will happen.
