just noticed there's a tab on the team select screen for grooves that builds a team for you to use for the groove in case you dont have a good one set up or something didn't put any healers in though i think it just tries to get your score value thing up as high as possible.

It doesn't really matter now since they let you swap out team members from the song select screens now anyways.

playing with middle finger and index finger on both hands really does make playing some stuff easier, but then there's randomly things that trip me up, like what i would normally hit with both hands is now supposed to be on the same hand and i brain fart for a second moving the opposite hand over to hit the note, but then i end up messing up also slides mess me up sometimes too. since most of the time i'm not even moving my hands at all while playing with 4 fingers, when i suddenly have to move them it's jarring.
