Like, in all honesty, how do I know the Guardian hasn't published what amounts to fanfiction? It doesn't include the photos. If the photos are provided, then you have another hurdle: What is visible in them which ties them to a known location and time? This is important - it's very common for example during protests for photos to be passed around which are actually of other times and places, in order to push a certain narrative.

See, what you're doing here is confirmation bias - you don't need undeniable proof of a claim because the claim "sounds about right". The thing about camps where lots of people go to be tortured and killed is they leave a big paper trail and lots and lots of evidence which cannot be anything else. We can, for example, match up pictures of starving holocaust survivors with the real locations those photos were taken, so we know that happened. We can look through all the paperwork and we can see who was shipped where and when they were gassed. What we can't do is zoom in on a random, plain looking building on google earth and go "yeah I bet that's a concentration camp. You can tell by the pattern of the roof tiles". What we cannot do is look at a picture of a body on a morgue slab and declare it to have been taken in camp X without a verified reference for what camp X actually looks like.

Maybe it's changed since I last went? When I go inside and they tell me they're a dry cleaner, they might be lying, and when they don't let me check their so called "Employees Only" rooms I am even more suspicious. I just want eggs ugh!
