Cruel and Unusual posted:Lawrence Jackson wrote something stupid about not paying your workers. Incredibly stupid and myopic in it's failure to discuss the the billions these athletes generate at the college level. quote:But today, the NFL has made football valuable. College players are seeing themselves as pros and deserving of money. They see guys getting hundreds of thousands to millions and want a piece of the pie. The rational makes sense but they forget this is capitalism. LOLOLOL. Capitalism would dictate that workers would be correct to expect compensation more in line with the value they create.

Mike Reiss is pretty good. He gets worse the longer he's been with ESPN, but all in all he's still one of the earlier sources for reputable information.

I don't even know who covers the Seahawks right now. It used to be Mike Sando (bland but inoffensive) but they moved him somewhere else recently.

I think she's been the only one who has done it since it used to just be per-division, and Paul Kuharsky (I think he does the Titans now?) never did any in-depth original stuff.

Vaughn McClure is with ESPN and is bland. D Orlando Leadbetter is from the AJC (local paper) and he's loving horrible. We used to have Steve Wyche, but he works for NFL Network now so we're stuck with these turds.

Ben Goessling seemingly writes his own stuff for the Vikings but the content regularly overlaps what appears on the local ESPN radio affiliate site and often a day behind.

One of my favorites, Albert Breer, is leaving NFL network for MMQB. He was on 98.5 in Boston this morning and revealed he was banned from Gillette Stadium for his questions during the famed "We're on to Cincinnati" press conference.

I don't get to follow the NFL much anymore unfortunately, but who are the biggest journalists that actually take the league to task for all the shady poo poo they pull? The Rich Eisens and the Adam Schefter's seem to have a very clear idea of who signs their paychecks and go out of their way to never bring up anything like public money in the league, much less profit margins. Any other journalists who do regularly, or do they all get ridden out of town immediately?

LeBatard was like the only one talking about how the NFL lost against the NFLPA when they hid millions of dollars from the players. He is also one of the few ESPN guys that tends to side with players of the league on most issues.
