Like even with Steely Dan he was hospitalized but not killed.

Like, early SDC is a handful of dead Stand users before Araki decided it's not especially heroic to have protagonists who straight up kill opponents unless their character clearly establishes that they deserve it.

The OP is great apart from one glaring omission. I truly, madly, deeply love my IRL Stand 『Ｓａｖａｇｅ Ｇａｒｄｅｎ』 and they choose a very nostalgic 90s song for me, so the ED is great. David Productions have done it again. Part 4 is the best.

Rather enjoying how absolutely nuts Josuke's stand is so far. The way it works is ridiculous and I am quite excited to see how it will escalate in use.  And as someone with zero knowledge of part 4 I only thought the ED was alright in the standard way. Prolly gonna be skipping it every week. It feels like the ED is more a nod to people who already know this part going by what I skimmed over in this thread? OP was really funky and colorful though.

Just watched the episode and this adaption is just.... [ kisses my fingers like a chef ] David Production has revealed that Part 3 wasn't even their final form and it's beautiful. Greatest anime ever made imho tbh

Hello, JoJo friends. I knew of this series through pop-cultural osmosis, but even after having the first three episodes streamed by a group of people from another forum, I wasn't really interested in it. Then I saw this posted in an RPG thread here on SA last year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwv_2OKxZr8 And figured, "Okay, gently caress it, let's give this a shot." I shotgunned through the first two seasons in rapid succession, but fell off early on in Season 3 (right after the Anubis fight). Came back to it a few weeks ago when I learned that Part 4's anime debut was imminent and blazed through the rest of Stardust Crusaders. The battle of wits against D'Arby the Gambler was fantastic, and I straight up shed manly tears over the death of Iggy because god drat that scene was heart-wrenching, even knowing he was doomed from stuff I'd seen elsewhere on the internet. Waited until this week to sign up for Crunchyroll so that I could catch the first two episodes back to back and holy poo poo this series is so goddamn amazing and I love it. And that's my JJBA story. Also, I can't stop listening to Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town on loop on YouTube.

Great to hear it! JoJo's kinda weird where I still think Phantom Blood is great and fun in its own right, but it isn't a lot like the rest of the series, so it's a bit weird to get started. But yeah, it's a great ride, glad to have you aboard for the adventures of Best JoJo, Josuke. At first I was caught off guard by how different the opening is, but after a few views, I love it to death. It sounds like a more up tempo slice-of-life anime theme, which is 100% pitch perfect for DiU, and DiU is a departure from 1-3 in a lot of ways, so a big change in OP style is appropriate.

If it helps, it was more that I was intrigued by the Stand Proud half of the mashup than the fact that it was a mashup in and of itself.  Really love all the OPs, though I'm not as keen on Sono Chi no Kioku END OF THE WORLD as I am the other four. Also, Bloody Stream took a bit to grow on me because it was such a huge 180 compared to Sono Chi no Sadame. Edit: Oh, also, this series introduced me to Yes's Roundabout which has become one of my favorite songs. Also, I was in high school back when "I Want You" came out and I really liked it back then, so when it started playing at the end of this episode, I felt a strange mixture of elation/hype and nostalgia as I suddenly recognized it.
