At TNAsylum, Raven Effect is fantasy booking the Impact theme song.quote:I chose the song “Reincarnate” by Motionless In White for multiple reasons. To start, I absolutely love this song, and also absolutely love this band (though their most recent album Reincarnate has a lot of lyrics that are too corny for me to enjoy); but, I also chose it because it’s wrestling friendly. Not only is this song wrestling friendly, but the band is too. There are a couple of songs that seemingly quote or mention wrestling sayings but I also saw a lot of their merchandise be pro-wrestling inspired along with a lot of direct knockoffs from the WWF Attitude Era, including MIW 3:16 and Steve Austin middle finger logos with their name written on it.

I like the bit where half the people shown in it are not on the actual product. Also that the opening to Impact is apparently 4 minutes long.

I know that my life is never going to be the same without new episodes. The most bizarre and out there character I’ve ever seen on TV. This guy was so crazy, and over the top that the character actually fits in wrestling. http://www.tnasylum.net/home/nevermore-new-theme-song

None other than Joey Ryan; unfortunately, Joey Ryan was let go by TNA and he signed with Lucha Underground…and then got major Internet fame and was even sponsored by a porn company since I originally had this idea. Yes, because TNA absolutely would have benefited from that fame if they had just listened to you and kept him. They totally wouldn't have held him down. It's not like him being released from TNA and getting all that recognition correlate at all.

Maybe this is a stupid opinion in which case it fits in this thread, but I hate ladder matches. They seem custom made to hurt people and if they need to happen at all it should be as part of a feud and not as a way to get 6 extra people into a show. Finally the best wrestlers should never have to do the drat things, Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, whatever, none of these guys need a ladder to make people care about their matches and adding a ladder just makes it more likely they will get injured. Leave the gimmicks to the fuckers who need them and let the guys who can make you care about a wrestling match wrestle.

NotQuiteQuentin posted:nah the best is when you are forced into changing your name to jimmy if you lose a match. Is that how Jimmyz started? I know next to nothing about Dragon Gate so I just assumed they all came together and mutually agreed that they were each Jimmy now. If it's as a result of losing matches to a Jimmy, who was patient zero for the Jimmyz?

"Jimi" in Japanese means plain/boring, and all of the original members were called plain by fans/peers. So in defiance they all changed their names to Jimmy. Notable variations: Genki Horiguchi got "H-A-G-E" (bald) chants, so he changed his name to H.A.Gee.Mee!! And then there was Mr. Quu Quu Naoki Tanizaki Toyonaka Dolphin, who was Naoki Tanizaki but got his name stolen by T-Hawk while he was injured, and lost the match for the rights to his name so T-Hawk gave him a ridiculously long name because he cried like a dolphin about it and he's from Toyonaka. He never got a Jimmy name for whatever reason. sticklefifer fucked around with this message at 21:49 on Apr 8, 2016 |
