There's been no indication that the keys have minds of their own. Allison stood up of her own free will, even though her every muscle immediately went THE gently caress IS THIS and tried to shut down out of self-preservation. She was asserting herself in a moment of great adversity despite eye-watering terror. It was a nice moment.

Well, I certainly wasn't expecting that out of Mottom. I kind of like it, though; just because she's god-queen of part of the multiverse doesn't mean she needs to act refined and mature all the time. It's neat seeing her true face, so to speak.
