The term 'coxinha', meaning a local fried food made of pulled chicken, cheese, and mashed potatoes molded into the shape of a chicken leg and then fried, also stands for upper middle-class, conservative, entitled white guys. He's implying that such types, jumping onto the bandwagon of the current political crisis, are tearing the country apart.

Yeah, when airlines say "we can't do (nice thing) because all of our customers are constantly searching for the absolute cheapest fare all the time and if that isn't us than we go out of business" that's the unvarnished truth. I wanted to support Hawaii's recent court case against small seats, but in the end I had to take the airline's side and just think of economy plus or whatever as the real price of flying for me. Ibogaine posted:I agree. Its just that I always thought that Lincoln growing his beard later would be one of the central elements of American lore, like Kennedy getting shot after having been elected president. Kennedy tend not to be depicted in pop culture as a corpse with a hole straight through his skull. Meanwhile, you take any depiction of Lincoln in any show, cartoon, comic, movie or game, and it will always have two elements - the stovepipe hat, and the beard. Remove them, and 99% of Americans won't know who they're looking at. Especially when you factor in that Ramirez couldn't depict someone recognizably if you held a gun to his head. Also Republicans had Eisenhower, so there's that.
