terrible programmer report: when i first found out my employer doesn't allow c++ exceptions, i was like 'sure thats reasonable, whatever' the more code i write, the more and more loving annoying this limitation is. it's so bad. it makes it impossible to write clean code.

Otoh I will probably try to avoid Scala when looking for future jobs. Not too dogmatically though given that it forms the majority of my commercial experience.
