I'm finding pyromancy to be good so far but I'm still not seeing any practical reason to use any offensive pyromancy other than fire orb. Cause it does good damage and has a better casting animation than all the other stuff I've tried. Maybe this fancy dark tome gives a good spell but the teacher won't take it and I have no clue who else would. All the pyromancies I've actually had to raise my stats to use have been worthless.

Its weird to think that I'm a pyromancer but I'm basically only using flame weapon and fire orb, with the occasional session of profuse sweating.

You should explore the Smouldering Lake off of Catacombs. There's a lot of really good Pyromancy squirreled away in there.

Try it and find out :v: Or don't and just pick a normal class like a normal person.

Worse case is you lose 15 minutes fighting the first boss and give up and re-roll, faster to just try it than ask the thread dude.

The most helpful tip I figured out about this is to just look up in different spots of the Keep. You can see every tower and ones with flames at the top are not yet complete.

Gundyr is easy enough as Deprived. The Lothric Knights, though...made me reroll a Knight.

Why is the broadsword the best weapon in the game? And why are greatswords kinda terrible? Mediocre damage and the poise damage doesn't really matter when every enemy has a combo breaker. They're okay for PvP I guess.

Same pretty much. I've been summoned as a wolfbro twice but never as a blue cop, not once.

Maybe related to your weapon level vs your character level, or maybe I should try turning on cross-region matchmaking?

I got invaded by some npc invader who dropped a murakumo, then another right afterward and I'm like, two NPC invaders in a row? They moved like an NPC, just path of least resistance gap closing, but then they wiggled suggestively like a human so I think I won my first real invasion. Please don't name yourself thematically that's just weird. The name looked too long to be a user name and I got confused.

Two keys have the answer

One is cheap and temporary

One is expensive and permanent

But also ask yourself, why did you hollow? You are not undead. You are unkindled. Unkindled don't hollow when they die, they have no humanity to lose.

Why did you lose humanity? What dark power stole it from you?

If you mean Watchdog of Farron, that's just the name given to everyone who invades as part of that particular Covenant. I wasn't sure the first time, either, and I would have thought it was just an NPC if not for the gesture use and the attempts to bait me out into the swamp to get smashed.

I didn't think it was too bad, although of course I haven't done any other starts to compare. The clubs actually pretty solid. Just de-equip the plank shield and two hand and roll. The lothric knights were scary at first, but once I learned to just smash them in the face repeatedly and then roll away they got pretty easy. Or maybe I'm better than I thought?

You're branded by the darksign, you're undead AND unkindled.

The other interesting thing though is the implication that you died for real earlier; most likely after the last time the fire was kindled. I guess that's why there aren't a trillion zombies wandering around.

starting as deprived is great because it teaches you that you don't need to actually fight every monster and hey maybe avoiding / running past monsters is a valid option and then you try it and then it works and then you add that to your skill list for the rest of the game.

then later in the game when you really realize there's zero penalty for dying, every time you get to a new area you do a couple suicide runs for all the loot, then another suicide run or two to learn the fastest route to the boss door, and then however many runs it takes to beat the boss. repeat ad nauseam for the rest of the game. seriously i haven't bothered to kill any regular monsters since the road of sacrifice and it's enhanced my experience 100%, and i strongly recommend you do this at least for the very tired blight town 3.0 zone that i guess miyazaki is forced to include in each game under penalty of death or something.

Gundy is pretty easy even without armor and kind of a not great weapon for your stats. You can suit up in chainmail and get a passable weapon pretty much immediately after arriving at firelink so all in all it's not a big deal. You're at an advantage in a lot of ways due to soul level 1 and 11 in all stats baseline giving you a pretty reasonable base to build however you feel.

Different guy. The guy in a cage is a pyromancer trainer (or was it sorcery? I forget). He goes back to firelink. Look around the area between the bonfire and Andre.

To get to the mound makers, you need someone carrying a cage.
