At least they're not immediately going for the obvious like TIMES SQUARE EMPIRE STATE GETTING MUGGED, although Empire State is right around the corner from Koreatown so I probably shouldn't say anything yet. Generally I get the feeling this is one of these pandering Oh How Much Better Is Life In My Little Bland Midwest Community arcs.

e: I do want to see Greg Evans' version of Times Square. So far the blandest, most :effort: Times Square I've seen in comics was Steve Dillon's work and I'm curious if it can be topped.

I assume it's down to apathy and small reference pools. Still, you'd think at least one would go for Philadelphia and its easy :911: points.

I love how, in the absence of an explanation for the stuffed rabbit, they went with "it must mean they're young," which actually reinforces the original's point. This is accidentally next level.

They went to Macy's and Rockefeller Center, both of which I guess are close, but not Times Square itself. Thinking about it. I don't think they ever did show that.

That is, that's in her most recent visit with Olive. I don't know about the visit a couple years back where she had her torrid affair with the Broadway celebrity.
