Can someone tell me what I'm supposed to do in Anor Londo? I've found Gwindolin/Gwinevere/whatever the boss from the first game's room (with the long hallway) I feel like something should be happening here but nothing.

Hmm... What a pickle.

Does giving the Firekeeper the eyes do anything interesting other than what sounds like giving you a different ending?

There is not. No it doesn't.

If you followed Anri's story it's where it would reach its penultimate point, otherwise go the other way and pull the lever.

It drops off by the last third, though I didn't upgrade it past +3 because I wasn't a big fan of it even before then. Staggers most humanoid enemies though.

Just wanna say this game is really good. Had to stop playing on PC because I needed to get a new cooler, mine is running the game at 80-90c which websites say is bad.

Opinions on best move set? Maybe its just having used it in all the games but the Longsword move set is great, has sweeps and stabs. Only thing I would want is a sprinting R1 that katanas get for chasing in PVP.

What did you end up using? I'm thinking about trying out some kind of quality ultra greatsword. Or maybe just a regular greatsword like the Bastard Sword, I dunno.

I've only used it for soul farming with grouped up enemies. Haven't tried it much on say a silver knight or anything.

It's both thrilling and terrifying.
Just got to the swamp at the Road of Sacrifices and suddenly I'm getting invaded every 2 seconds.

Got invaded by a Watchdog guy while I was fighting the two NPC enemies guarding Farron Keep. Watchdog guy kept trying to get cheap hits in at me while I was dodging the NPCs.

I ended up killing all 3 single-handed. Basically the best Dark Souls 3 experience I've had yet. I love this game.

I gotta say for an NPC I had all of 3 conversations with they managed to get me surprisingly invested in Anri. I went from "Oh, hey, an elite knight guy with a mute buddy, cool." To "Yeah, sure I'll help you find your buddy" to "Uhhh...I may have killed your buddy but in my defense he attacked me."
And just now I was exploring frozen Anor Londo when I found Gwyndolin's old room and went in expecting maybe a callback or a bonus fight and instead I got Anri's body, tastefully laid out on display. I was genuinely pretty bummed :(
I'm generally trying to avoid spoilers and I know I probably won't like the answer, but was there anything I could have done to prevent it?

If you had not told her about Horace, you would have found her in the Church of Yorshka, where you would have (somehow, I genuinely have no idea how people have found it naturally) determined that one of the statues was an assassin, saving her.

A Undead without hope soon goes hollow. Just don't tell her about Horace after killing him. She'll soldier on alone believing he's still alive.

Its easier to know it retro-actively once you've done the quest line since that statue will be missing and the servant of Yuria drops the chameleon spell which turns you into that statue in the room

Fashion Souls time! My current outfit:

Action shot:

Parts list: Maiden's Hood, Mirrah Vest, Brigand Gauntlets, Herald Trousers.

Went for a heroic duelist sorta look and it works really nicely. There's a lot of headgear that works well with the set so if the hood's not your style, there's something that works well with it.

I started doing some jolly co-operation today and goddamn the tree boss and Watchers are super satisfying to do with other people, especially if they've clearly been struggling with them for a while. Being the hero that bursts the tree down in a few second while they chip their swords on the bark is the most :3: thing ever.

It really bugs me that despite this game being super linear compared to DS2 the NPC quests are somehow even easier to gently caress up through no error of the player. I never would of gone back to the catacombs to look for Anri if people in the thread didn't mention it, but the only reason she wasn't there was because I did that area before the Deep Cathedral.

That area is really, really intriguing and I wish The Shrine Handmaid there gave us anything more to go on. I think that's Lothric's intended Firelink shrine, swallowed by the abyss after he stalled his quest but its hard to tell.

Nope. (anri spoilers) If you kill horace, and tell her where you found him, she looks for him but doesn't find him. she then gets assassinated. If you don't tell her, she ends up at the chapel anyways, and if you don't kill the assassin, she gets rekt anyways. If you kill the assassin she continues looking for him until she loses her mind and goes hollow. If you don't kill horace, she ends up finding him but horace has gone hollow and kills her.

Does anyone know if it's possible to stunlock the crystal sage and prevent him from teleporting? In my playthough, I two-hand combed the poo poo out of him with a fire resin weapon, and I got his health below half before he disappeared. Whenever I've help people out with co-op, we generally only get him down to about 80% before he moves away. Is this just a function of his higher health in co-op?

I gotta say, I really didn't miss how they lock you of a huge chunk of npc questlines for obscure poo poo to punish players who don't use a guide their first time around. They seem to have learned so much from their shortcomings in previous games, but the npc questlines are still almost as badly designed as they were in demon's souls. Apparently joining Rosaria's Fingers, the only option you have to respec your character in the whole game, locks you out of Sirris' questline. I'm amazed that they make you choose between a major gameplay feature and a questline.

Sorry, but this is bullshit. I didn't use a guide for any of this and the only NPC questlines I managed to gently caress up were Greirat and the miracle lady, the former by sending him to Lothric and the latter by buying dark miracles from her, which to be fair was well signposted. I guess I also got the "bad" ending for Anri but that was in service of finishing a different NPC quest. In fact, I think this is by far the easiest game in terms of NPC quests; you don't have to summon or babysit any NPCs on fights (with the very minor exception of Siegward, who you'd almost have to try to get killed anyway), no NPCs will murder each other just because you have them both around, and the all tell you exactly what you should and shouldn't do - in the example you gave, Sirris talks about how the fingers are her enemies several times before you should get a chance to meet Rosaria in the first place. I do admit Sirris' questline is the most esoteric, anyway, because it requires you to backtrack to places you shouldn't otherwise need to visit by that point. I only found her summon sign by the greatwood because I got curious about whether you could survive that fall outside of the boss fight. You can, by the way, because there's an invisible slope that slows your fall.
