Knights of the Fallen Empire is a purely single player expansion. It's a great storyline, but there hasn't been any new endgame PvE multiplayer content in a year and a half.

With KOTFE they *did* make all raids relevant again as they are all now level 65 and drop the same levels of gear. Their hopes were that this would satisfy raiders as they could go back and clear old content and get relevant gear again.

Unfortunately, it also added the side effect of people not wanting to do Hard Mode new raids as you can run Eternity Vault and Karagga's Palace to get almost an entire set of gear, and while they were bumped to 65 they are still easy raids.

Most endgame guilds have pretty much broken up at this point as players moved on to other games, hoping Bioware will release some new multiplayer endgame content. There's some hope on that, as we just got a new warzone for the first time in two years so hopefully there will be a new raid at the end of KOTFE...but I'm not holding my breath.

That makes sense. Not being a player who raids at all it didn't even occur to me, I guess.

I actually doubt it, since all of KOTFE is designed to be single player and that final fight is already being set up (the weapon you get in this chapter has bonuses against him). They may do a raid centered around the Eternal Empire but it will be an aside from the main story. I'd personally like to see Malgus return, which they were hinting at with the cut footage from KOTFE.

What the other guy said. No new raid content, new gear is trivial to get, and the straw which broke the camel's back was when they bugged raid bosses so that they wouldn't turn. Made HM ops completely impossible, so progression was impossible. We lost one or two people and then couldn't field a full raid team, so the whole guild moved to FF14 and Blade & Soul.

This new expansion has been alright as a single player story experience but it absolutely destroyed the MMO elements of the game.

We had a great run of Karraga's Palace a couple weeks ago. I only joined the guild recently so I want to believe there's still life in this thing! I've only seen a handful of flashpoints and operations and I want to experience them all.

I almost never raided or PVPed back in the day, so being a mostly-single-player game now is fine. I do enjoy raiding and PVPing with the guild, though.

No PvE progression...I did each NiM and HM Rav/ToS once when 4.0 dropped for old time's sake but that's it. I can count the guilds I know can clear NiM DF/DP reliably on one hand. All of those guilds cleared them before 4.0.

Solo Ranked PvP is dying. The group Ranked corpse twitches every now and then. The reg queue is nothing but Proving Grounds with paint-huffing pubs for whom "stand in the glowing square" is apparently mental gymnastics.

I've taken all 8 classes through KotFE. Each has all companions, all Star Fortresses cleared. The KotFE story so far is meh with very little replay value. Decisions are suppose to start becoming a factor in Ch XIII so maybe there'll be some progress but the overall story seems to be treading water.

I guess that's what I expect from F2P games. They all seem to become a treading water exercise and don't move on. I know SWTOR didn't work as a subscription model - although it does sort of force you to subscribe - but it still seems the common theme.

I don't think that any of the companions leaving is really going to make a difference in the game, gameplay wise. Maybe you'll have to fight an extra wave of enemies because Koth left last month when you brought Kaliyo on and weren't nice to him but I can't see the game making MAJOR changes based on which companions stick around.

I could be wrong but I doubt it's going to affect the storyline majorly one way or another.

I do laugh because this chapter ended with me sending Aric in to rescue Kaliyo, which ends on a cliffhanger. Yet both are able to be summoned and used.

It is kind of frustrating that you still go through all this trouble to recruit and use Kaliyo even after it becomes blindingly obvious that the only reason she was successful at all was because the security crew were using her as an outlet for teenage rebellion. She was getting betrayed when you showed up and then the dark side choice she gives you isn't even a sin of convenience, it's "You know we should kill all of these civvies cuz It's fun."

Yeah, I think most of the membership in Goon Squad these days is just alts of people who mainly play Imperial characters in That's No Goon so it's not surprising that there's often no one on.

Honestly, you're probably better off whispering people in TNG and seeing if anyone's got alts they can invite with since literally every character in Goon Squad can invite people.

I camr back to the game.because I realized that, after having purchased it like three months past release, I had never actually done any of the post-story planets, flashpoints, ops... Anything.

I'd never even done Ilum. And I had six level 50 characters. I got halfway through makeb on my agent and then quit.


So I made a consular, and said that until I saw every bit of content I'd denied myself (except ops probably) I won't make another alt.


It's hard to resist, I bought the togruta unlock today, and now I really wanna use it haha.
