I didn't play raceroom experience before the patch with the nordschleife, and apparently the GT3 cars got a physics update with that. They feel really good, and after some tweaking, I really like the ffb in RRE. And the audio continues to be glorious.

And, they are looking at moving to a new engine apparently.

Whatever they did the the FFB in RRE with the update, it's working for me. Madly in love with the GT3 cars now.

New WTCC cars in RaceRoom are great, though I wasn't expecting them to be slower than the 2014 cars. Lapping Paul Ricard about a second slower in the new Lada.

I'm still blown away at how good the audio is in RRE.

Wish the game had proper triple support. Can't see poo poo in the R18! Still a blast.

Race Department have started doing mod roundup posts for AC, which is good for people who don't like sifting through the piles of poo poo and bad conversions that make up most AC mods. I spent about half an hour throwing the Ginetta GT4 car in there around Donington and that's a good time. I'd also recommend people check out Tiago Lima's conversions since Tsukuba, dude was a bit spotty with some of his older stuff but he's been updating that with better AI and graphical work and as a result now has a solid group of tracks done.

Also Automobilista is back on Steam :toot:

Finally got to test out AMS and I'm loving it. The FFB improvement in particular suprised me a lot. Gonna replace SCE in the OP soon, although until CART Extreme comes to AMS I'm keeping SCE installed.

Also looking for car/track suggestions for AC this weekend. Sunday 20 GMT as usual.

60s touring cars at Tor Poznan, the Lancia Fulvia mod plays very nicely against the Alfa GTA and that track rules.

A bit of AI tweaking, sound tweaks and an overhaul of the dashboards on some cars. So the Marcas cars and Metalmoro no longer have identical dashboards and the Lancer dash has a ref meter that isn't completely obscured by the wheel. The new F1 default schemes are terrible though, mostly because I don't have my Lotus any more.

Gooncar practice goes up 20:20 GMT (21:20 BST) for race at 21:30 GMT (22:30 BST), so this doesn't clash with the race, only the super-long practice session which only exists to use the full 2hr session allocation anyway.

e: does clash with the Sunday BES race though, which a bunch of the iRacing crew usually run in, although not so many this week.

GhostDog

Should I move it to 19:00 GMT? Or is it preferable to have AC+iRacing closer together so people can just stay behind their wheels?

Edit: The BES ends at 20:00 GMT? In that case 20:00 GMT for AC seems right, the race itself generally starts at 20:30.

Yeah, that's a nice clean setup. I haven't gotten around to putting together my keyboard tray thing yet, I'm basically taking a monitor mount and attaching a keyboard sized piece of plywood to it.

When I stop commissioning custom basses save up enough to get an OSW/ClubSport base, I will probably rebuild my cockpit. It's been added on to so much, it would be better to rebuild it using stuff I learned from the past few years of use.

Fair warning. I started with a g27 a couple years ago, and now have what I have. Upgrades over what I have now are expensive as gently caress, so I think I'm good for a while.
