its easier to maintain as an all purpose nerd store than devoting more sales floor space to grab bags and whatnot, is the idea i think. we keep them separate from the instore inventory and its in the back room where we obviously aren't selling product out of anyway, so, it works.

Well that makes sense. There's a rabid back issue crowd here and on any given day I have 20,000 $1 book available in the store. We move roughly 1000 a week. I have two different guys who bring me tons of stuff constantly to trade in that replenishes our stock. I may look into CCL again for our recent stock.

Unless he spends a shitload of money you should drive that fucker to off to another shop. It's what we did to the guy who decided that we needed to know that he was a "wrongfully convicted sex offender because she looked 18 dude."

This is like that dude I knew on IRC who kept trying to clarify that he had not hosed a dog, he had just (try to imagine anything here that makes it better).

I don't have any hard proof other than the entirely legal poo poo he buys that I as a manga nerd get mad pedo vibes off of

And he does spend a decent amount of money

I just hate him because he's irritating as hell

At least he also hated the old mall manager

Gotcha. We have a guy who complains that we don't carry anything from the Preview Adult catalog but he's easily ignored.

I just don't understand why he kept trying to clarify instead of saying "No, I didn't gently caress a dog, you're crazy." or saying nothing.

It's an interesting moral code where loving a dog is ok, but lying about loving a dog isn't.

Is Marvel doing anything to capitalize on FCBD being on the opening weekend of Civil War?

The store I occasionally stop by (to buy silly toys for adults rather than comics) is literally 20 feet from the movie theater in the mall it's in. I imagine that will be a certain kind of hell.

...Not that I'm waiting until Saturday to see the movie, of course.

There's a CW2 book in their offerings, that's about it

We have a policy of "we will order it for you but we aren't going to stock it". We have a couple people who order off the adult catalog but for the most part they aren't creepy mutants so whatever

Serious question, because... god drat it I have to know.

Are these dildos themed after an assumption about what the character's penis looks like, or are we talking more like those Star Wars diving sticks?

Either way, the dildo for Tony Stark, the Invincible Iron Man, should be a sybian with a (no pun intended) slick UI.

Some teeth long for ripping, gleaming wet from black dog gums. So you keep your eyes closed at the end. You don't want to see such a mouth up close. before the bite, before its oblivion in the goring of your soft parts, the speckled lips will curl back in a whinny of excitement. You just know it.

I'm always skittish about buying items online, so I have a question for comic buyers. Has anyone here bought anything through Comic Collector Live? Has anyone run into problems with Comic Collector Live?

Edit: I know a lot of shop workers/owners here use it for selling.

It's like eBay in that there's multiple sellers. Look at who's selling what and check the comments. If they have a lot of bad reviews don't bother. Most complaints are about differences of opinion on grading.

Super Mario Bros 3

Hi! Back at the beginning of the month I talked about how I was starting a comic book podcast called "Event Fatigue" that would deal with summarizing and reviewing comic events with a humorous tone. This is the third podcast I'm involved in but the first about comics and I'm fairly happy with it - save for the length, which is about three times as much as I wanted it to be, so the first episode is a three-parter. Appropriate, really.

Some people said they might be interested so I'd love for you guys to give it a listen! If you like it, there's more to come! We have a website but I also made a Tumblr for the show so I can share panels as well with our episodes.

You can find the first episode here. I'd be interested to know what you guys think - love, hate, boredom, whatever!

I quite enjoyed it - it was pretty easy to listen to the whole thing in one sitting. A good mix of people who think comics are dumb but one of them knows a lot about them and can educate the rest on just how dumb they can be.

You need to plan ahead though and turn off your Skype IM sound.
