These are Good Patches. Taunt effecting Orks for 50% longer and Eldar 50% shorter is nice, fluffy, and well reasoned. Plasma macros getting turned into regular macros opens up ship options. No pulsar changes, though I like what they did with holofields. I'm really enjoying this feeling of the devs actively listening to the playerbase (that knows what they're talking about) and not over-reacting to things.

I'm kinda glad because sometimes I get lazy or forget what mode I started in and don't notice the target showing up at the start.

e: also i miss assassination when you had like half the points of the attacker. now I can just duke it out with the enemy and usually win :effort:

ohh and plasma macros getting changed might make something other than dominators viable now!

Holofield change won't sting at all since you still do a 1 shot on enemy ships first pass if you get off the first major volley anyway. :clint:

I like the new Imperium upgrades, here's hoping they'll add more distinct stuff to other factions too.

No more Lock-On crit bonus for lances, but that wasn't amazing for IN anyway. Fast torpedoes! A shield with armor values! Ramming! Options!

The Mezoa Drive seems decent - IN can make themselves faster than orks, but still slightly slower than Chaos and you get hurt worse by an engine crit since those no longer turn off AAF/HET/Red Button for others, while everyone else can take an upgrade that makes engine crits hurt the top speed less.

Moderate buff to macros shooting at Eldars, but a high speed Eldar ship will still be more durable than an equally sized 50 armor target - just not by some ridiculous margin.

Considering you still get the free DLC if you buy within the first two months after release, this is essentially "early access", which has quickly become the norm for PC releases and it sucks.

Also I don't see any mention of the ship painter, they patched the button for it out of the beta awhile ago but I figured that was just because it wasn't done and the button didn't do anything. So... did they just give up on bothering with that or is it coming later...?

I'm still getting used to how everything works, but why do ships (I'm not sure if it's Eldar specific or not) stop moving sometimes? I thought you needed to activate retro thrusters to keep ships stationary

Games never going to bother modeling that. They'll just stop moving if they reach the move order you placed for them.

Ohh and beta servers are down. It's happening :woop:

My HD died last night and after I formatted a new drive I downloaded this again and discovered that all my captains were gone. Is this information going to be stored client side or was that just for the beta?

I hope this game does well. Vermintide and this really feel like games made by devs who just love the worlds and want to share that enthusiasm.

Dawn of War 2 and Space Marine were awesome, I'm excited for Total Warhammer (hope is the first step etcetc), it's a good time to be a warhams fan :3:

I just got confirmation from the devs on the official forums, co-op vs AI and custom 1v1s are both things being worked on but not quite finished for release, should be pushed in an update ASAP.

Mega bummer as that's what I'm most looking forward to, but at least they're close to finishing it.

Coming later. Even a few months ago they weren't sure it would make release, given all the balancing and other work they needed to do.

From what I've heard, Tindalos is actually a rather small dev, so it stands to reason they need to focus on the most important bits. let's not forget that they're massive sperglords working on their favourite aspect of their favourite IP, so there's going to be a lot of tweaking to be done in the near future, we can bet on that.

I really love how they are adding flavor weapon variations. Not only is it good for balance, but it really broadens the diversity of IN. Hope we see more of that for other races (I'm sure we will).

Holofield changes seem good, playing Eldar v. Eldar in the beta it seemed like the only way to kill something was to block its movement so you could get some damage in for a few seconds.

Probably so people can't just run circles around the map all day. Taunt + stasis are pretty much necessary cheese counters. (you can now blow up stasis bombs with plasma bombs I think)

I've lost the first two missions outside the tutorial on heroic difficulty... I might need to go down to hard.

AngryJoe did a stream of the campaign yesterday, played a few more levels than we got to in the beta. He set it to like Heroic difficulty though and got absolutely destroyed.

The game literally sold out right as I went to buy it last night through GMG so I guess that was a dodged bullet there. I thought it came with the preorder bonus

Wow, that's hosed. I got it on steam so no skin off my nose, but seriously sucks for people who got it off other sites.
