Luganville continues to be bombed. I sally the Kido Butai, and they find some transports in Soreenbarji's harbour. We fend off an attack with no losses. The afternoon attack hits some more transports. A relatively normal day. Apparently we hit a Decoy again.

The Brits have the weirdest ship naming conventions. Sometimes the most awesome, especially compared to the US Navy, but always the weirdest.

Duncan (Lead vessel and so actually named after a pretty cool dude), Dainty, Daring, Decoy, Defender, Delight, Diamond, Diana and Duchess

Hey, you hit the Maury, longtime escort for the USS Enterprise and one of the most decorated DDs in the USN during WWII. Please don't kill the Maury it is a cool bote.

Soreenbarji? That's a helluva autocorrect, even the Google wonders about it, much less the world.

So what's going on a Luganville? Are those just trapped and starving, a la Guadalcanal?

I do kinda love how the Royal Navy often tended to have ship names of the same class all start with the same letter of the alphabet. It's just so attractively alliterative

We find and hit the Emerald again. We also savage some fleeing transports. That's going to hurt her! No interesting ground combat today, but the re-enforcements for Singapore arrived, so with 1,900 AV to 600, we are going to start the attacks again tomorrow! Prepare for a blood bath.... A couple more wounded ships fail to make it home.

Must be running low on airframes if you have to drag the biplanes out of storage for attack duties.

On the other hand, that biplane scored a pretty critical torpedo hit, so maybe he needs to use them more often.

Japanese bombs are so pathetically small that the only hits you can trust are torpedos

Biplane Jean, is not your bomber. It's just a plane, that flies for the Rising Sun. It's got wings and a gun, and torps for every one.

I think the Kido Butai Captains are getting overconfident, as they engage an enemy task force at night – The Akagi scores the first hit as well! This one is nerve wrecking, as the enemy come in fast – but we put out some fire and drive them off. Our ships flee north – the morning fights can't find their targets, but the afternoon ones do. We also pick off a destroyer. The first day of attacks begins at Singapore, and while it is bloody, we are equal in squads lost, and we destroy a unit – this is an acceptable day. I still think a +Terrain bonus on somewhere famously bad to defend is stupid. We have a good day at Changsha- maybe this will be the wave of attacks that finishes it! Luganville is grinding on like this – There is not much more I can say about it. A nice day, the losses at Singapore need to be taken – I'll check the units before sending in tomorrows wave, I don't want any to be destroyed. My division has also finally marched the Kodika Trail and reached Port Moresby! I think I'm owed a Crusier.

Lack of supply, or regular bombing to keep up damage on airfield and ports will keep enemy engineers from improving fortifications.

Sometimes you can almost forget the Allies have subs. We take another step towards victory at Changsha. Of course, that step is taken over the corpses of thousands of soldiers. BATTLESHIPS!!!! Out of nowhere we run into two of the Royal Navy's finest. While I doubt that damage is enough to sink either of them, its a start! Why are these planes not sinking Battleships? This one is acceptable. Grumble Grumble, Waste of bombs. This is better – Torpedoes would be even better though. Thanks! (I swear I don't rearrange these images!) I expect heavy planes losses after this, but it will be worth it if we can bag one of these babies! It's another bloody day in Singapore, but we are still in a good position to win this. Its going to cost us tough! Hmm, my Port Moresby Attack never took place. I'll check into that – now to check to see what my thirty odd plane losses have netted me..... Please be true!
