That thing makes my thumb sore just looking at it I can see how it MIGHT work if it was shaped like a potato that you gripped with buttons that fit neatly under your fingers, but even then you are pushing 5x the number of keys to type the same amount of characters as a non-stupid keyboard

Smythe posted:hmmm. not sure if cool or bad. uncanny valley. what kind of switches? the f keys are deleted so that looks weird, albeit without a numpad it's not too bad white on white on white with a bad font doesn't help though but change those caps for something less gamer-y and you're all set

so i finally got to play around with the magicforce since my new pc is finally finished it's pretty nice, but it does some weird stuff ESC and ~ are on the same key so if i want to use ~ i have to press Fn+Esc. but sometimes it changes so that for Esc i have to press Fn+Esc. still haven't figured that out also, i had a weird issue where holding shift would act like i was holding any other key, it would repeat it a bunch of times i fixed it but gently caress if i remember how

online friend posted:so i finally got to play around with the magicforce since my new pc is finally finished this reminds me of this compaq keyboard I used to have where it had a split spacebar. by default the left half would be backspace, but you could hold Alt+Ctrl+Shift and hit the left half of the spacebar twice to hardware map it to a forward space. you had to redo this everytime you plugged in the keyboard.
