Gravity Spikes is brutal. Sparrow is easier because at least you can run around firing at people - but the close-range one-shot nature of Gravity Spikes means you can't just be 'good' with it, you have to also be extremely aggressive and lucky to get 2+ people with it every time. I'd been working on it for a month and a half or so, then switched to Tempest while I golded my final LMG and cranked out the entire thing in less than an hour of play. As someone who's watched the Pro League semi-regularly, I have absolutely zero doubt of your potential to have dominated on any team you cared to join from day one. Watching you play is like watching Sonicfox play MKX against the entire rest of the field; he's simply a full tier better already.

A good-ish way to do Gravity Spikes is Nuketown at the start of the second round of some round-based mode. You'd be surprised how often people leave the backdoor open. Also run silenced so if you do gotta kill somebody, they don't see you coming.

I've played two of the new maps so far, Verge and Spire. Spire was pretty loving lame. Really nothing new going on. Verge on the other hand, is extremely interesting and a lot of fun. Easily the best DLC map I've played yet. So in other words I'm two maps into DLC 2 and it's already better than 1, though to be fair that wouldn't have taken much effort. gently caress Splash & Gauntlet.
