I get that cops profile lovely cars, or cars with tinted windows, or MODZ but if you actually have something wrong with your car you can't really complain that much. I have been pulled over many times where I grew up for a "lane violation" because I was a young kid driving a crappy car at night which to a cop basically means I'm up to something. Many times I've gotten satisfaction from the disgruntled cops face because I had nothing wrong with my car and wasn't actually doing anything wrong. If you've got a light out or are speeding or whatever and you know you drive a car that is going to get profiled I don't see how you can complain like that.

I wish more people would get pulled over for having things like headlights or tail lights out or otherwise dysfunctional or illegally modified lighting/marker systems. It's all too common that I see cars with brake lights that don't work at all, center mount tail lights out, horribly misadjusted headlights, HID bulbs in non-HID housings, blacked out tail lights that hardly illuminate, etc. That stuff is absolutely all legitimate safety concerns, and it is your lawful duty as a motor vehicle operator to ensure all of that stuff is in proper working order for the sake of yourself and everyone else on the road. Way too many people just shirk off all that stuff as "whatever, not my problem". I legitimately wish we had real safety inspections (all lights must work, headlight alignment, brakes, tires, all mirrors in one piece, good glass visibility, etc.) every couple of years for registration renewals, there are way too many hosed up cars owned by lazy assholes on the road. None of you seem to understand why people put poo poo engines into cars. It's because they have that engine sitting around, possibly removed to make room for a bigger and better engine. Nobody ordered a built 3.1 out of the crate engine catalog, the clunker was sitting in the corner of the shop for the last 5 years.
