ehh. Ill give it a chance. Low sci-fi human super wars are fun. plus some of them had ok stories. i mean they arnt wolfenstien the new order or bioshock or metro. but I like a big dumb action game. plus super remaster of my favorite COD.

The new COD is by the fractured carcass of Infinity Ward, which means it'll probable pale in comparison with the Treyarch and Whoever The Other Studio Is games. The COD4 remaster's being done by Raven. I'm happy they're still alive and getting work after Singularity flopped, even if it's only work on a series I don't play all that much nowadays.

Well seledge hammer did great with AW. but BO3 was pretty crap, treyarch tried to go super deep with the campain with the meh co-op and it just sucked. Yes i play COD for the campaigns. I am broken. Ghosts had interesting moments but it was generic as poo poo. I am curious to see how this one will do.

I just can't stand CoD multiplayer it feels like there's no such thing as a front line and it's just dudes running around in a circuit until they either shoot someone (who is in the middle of their circuit) in the back or get shot in the back

COD came from MOHAA (same devs) which was explicitly designed as a WWII Counterstrike. That's why there's still bomb-planting no-respawning game modes in COD to this day, even if they're not as popular.
