You can also go with the BtAS Gotham Knights explanation of 'built up chemical/poison resistance ' and now she's all Joker colored if it helps!

Also, Jessica 'Power Ring' Cruz was being sucked dry by Volthoom, the evil ring spirit. Using her Great Fear powerring would cause these gnarly tendrils to Snake their way out of the ring . The E3 power ring ended up looking like a mummy when he maxes out on Volthoom power.
So a lot of her early struggle was trying to keep the voice in her head from making her use the drat ring or being pee-yourself scared.

It''s pretty dumb to have a space cop where the gimmick each is from a different planet and then have 6 representatives from the same planet and also to make one of them the Important Real Green Lantern and awkwardly shuffle the rest off to the side until someone decides to adopt them.

The Justice League position of Green Lantern is the only one in Rebirth not filled by the traditional dude (unless you count Pre-Flashpoint Superman being a stranger, which I guess you should.) It's THE interesting thing about the League book on the surface.
I'm into what they're doing there.

Now if they were being written by anyone more interesting than Hitch or Humphries, I might be actually excited!

Is the opposite for me, the lack not only of Hal (who has been sidelined from the league after the opening arc in the N52) and pre Flashpoint Superman essentially ursurping SuperBro's place (I can't simply believe that Bruce will accept this new Superman just like that) has killed all my interest on the rebirth JL

Have you read Lois and Clark? I've found it's pretty easy to get invested in old Clark, Lois and Jon.
It'll only be a year before N-52 Clark isn't just Clark, and until then there being a separate Superman and Clark Kent could be pretty neat.
e: As for Batman or anybody in the world accepting the new guy, I can't imagine that will be an aspect of the story in JL or any other Superman comic. Everybody'll be like, New Fifty-Who?

I've read Lois and Clark and that why I don't like pre FP in the JL. He is a pretty different character to Superbro but the way they've been marketing his addition to the JL makes it seem like there won't be any significative changes to the team dynamics. This is especially jarring with Batman, Pak did a stellar job building their friendship through all of Batman Superman (and even Taylor helped a bit), we've seen another facet from them in American Alien and all that build up is simply being tossed away.

That is part o the same issue I have with the SuperSons concept although in less degree.

What if he kept the beard? You couldn't argue against that.

There should be a split off universe where everyone's new facial hair from the last few years stuck around.
Guy Gardner shaving his Red Lanterns mustache made no sense.
They should've at least shown Bruce trying on a cowl with a beard and going 'Nah."

I wish they would let whoever is doing the Sugar and Spike part of Legends of Tomorrow do a full comic with them. I saw one panel where they go to Superman Island and that's the kind of book I would like to read.

I'm almost certain when that anthology hits the trades, the stories will be properly split into their own separate trades because they all together make up 6-issue stories. It's a shame DC just doesn't have a market for these niche titles right now, as DCYou proved.

Is the new Kamandi Challenge going to be like the old one in that the creative team is going to purposely write something difficult for the next team to get out of? Because that's the best part of the DC Challenge concept. If it's just a regular story with different creative teams there's not really any fun in that.
