I never thought a comic would sell me on the basis of its lettering alone, but here we are.

Kathleen's lettering kicks rear end, she uses it to pull off comics about music in a silent format extremely well! Band Vs Band is a treasure, go read it.

In destiny you gain energy for a super move through orbs, she is playing with 2 defender titans who create a defensive bubble that generates two orbs letting her super more.

In fact a notorious strategy in destiny PVP is having 4 bubble guys and 1 guy with an offensive super and chaining them for each other for a fun explosive time.

You know, this doesn't seem like very brave attitude, Bravest Of The Lamps. I think this is a pretty obnoxious attitude to have. The fact that even queer comics writers have to deal with "uhg lesbians", seems like a problem, and you're not really helping.
Maybe fetishized portrayals of lesbians bother you, Bravest of Lamps, and it just came out wrong in your post. I hope that's what you meant, because Band vs. Band is cute as heck and actually really good. I think you should try to be a bit more thoughtful in your future posting, BravestOfTheLamps.

do you still get to do this when the author of the comic is also queer and is inserting their own sorely-needed representation into an industry that largely lacks it and the niche and insular nature of webcomics might deceive you into thinking it is oversaturation

Lamps is trolling but if you look up any of the thinly-disguised fetish webcomics that were everywhere in the mid-2000s, the ones that are still going are literally just porn now. And they all switched at around the same time, so if you were a Bad Webcomics Thread Lurker (not that that's an excuse) it's not surprising that you would see all the "suddenly - lesbians" as not very empowering.

I wonder what was the thing that made people stop trying to hide it.

As someone who isn't familiar with Lamp-kun's posting career, I guess my concern is that I've seen that attitude a lot, unironically, which might be the joke..but without knowing that, it just kind of comes off as a bad thing to say, because people could read it seriously. Anyway, that's my un-requested critique on Lamp's troll. Now, what are the rates on trolling commissions?

Maybe? I started reading from the beginning, and their connection was there from pretty much the beginning. While the art's pretty and the lettering is nice, it seemed like Garfield to me.

I assure you, the contents of Monday's page are going to more than compensate for how dark the undertones of the comic have been recently.
It was literally the first page I wrote for this chapter, and I've been vibrating in anticipation for months about it.

I dunno it seems that way to me? Like the early comics are 'yeah they like each other' but it was hidden in their rivalry and neither of them were aware or would admit it. Recently they've moved from having a connection to practically dating in all but name and the tension's ratcheted up. I dunno but to me if you compare HH and Turp's relationship at the start of the comic to now there's a really clear progression, so I think a status quo shift of them actually getting together or admitting their feelings is coming, BUT ALSO that it wouldn't be a super huge change, just another small shift.

...

why am I so invested in pastel webcomic lesbians, dangit.

No, and I don't think it means she was working with the evil octopus thing so much as they turned off the dragon bell to assist with her experiments, because she was going WHOLE HAM in an effort to make a breakthrough before this event. I seem to recall hearing that some of her specimens are dragon derivatives in some way.
